I am glad you posted it, my friend. I was reading Aron's book at my local drugstore and a young man nearby asked me what I was reading. I showed him the cover. "My sister saw him," he said. I was excited. "She went to one of his speeches? She heard him talk about the event and the rescue?" "No," he said, "she was there, canyoneering. She saw Ralston airlifted a few miles away from Blue John Canyon." One of the great moments of my life! I've watched this film over 20 times. AR is my hero. And so are you, for uploading this. Fiona
during the arm removing scene, it really terrified me, how the sounds of the high pitches and shreds really give an idea on how PAINFUL removing a nerve is...
When you see someone bleeding everywhere and screaming for help, and in the worst condition ever, the natural human response is to help that person. Anything else would come from a psychopath or someone who has no human connection whatsoever.
There is always a lot of talk about what one would like to be able to experience the same as the first time. I would choose this. When i saw this scene the first time i was so emotionally drained from what happened before and then this uplifting and yes-to-life scene came about. I still watch it like once a month.
junkyard014 this is the real one he has dark hair and look different to me from the guy is siting in the couch th-cam.com/video/D6zKipbWzg8/w-d-xo.html
Fun fact:the guy who drove the helicopter to the hospital was the real guy who saved aron ralston
You mean the actor for the helicopter pilot is the actual pilot who flew Aron? Damn, kudos to them.
I was trying to laugh because I didn't want to cry again..
I failed.

for some reason the part where he musters the energy and yells "I need help!" gets me every time
I just love this move ending and sound track
It shows despite his disability he never gave up his adventurous spirit.
