About the cost of each F-22, it's a very high price tag because of the small numbers built. So Lockheed has recoup their investment in developing it which results in a very high price tag. Now if the government in its stupid wisdom continued to order them we would have not only a very capable force of Raptors but the price would be much lower. You can thank the F-35 debacle for that. Let's see what it's mission rate is going to be....oh yea, and it's not a dog fighter either.
