for your first three minecraft days you should switch to PEACEFUL
Toby, two things:
1: Don't try to fight enemies at night on day 1.
2. Go into the Rei Minimap options, and turn on Death Point. That way you can find your stuff when you die.

Toby, you can plant sugarcane by right clicking with it in your hand on dirt or sand if its next to water and it will grow more sugarcane after some time.

Toby, press the M key and change the settings on your Rei's Minimap to where it will mark your death point.
I can't remember if you know how to do that or not.
Also, you can press the X key to bring up a full size map.

Sigh. I remember the episodes before Toby had coordinates and would spend 1-2 episodes looking for his house and I would scream ITS OVER THERE!! TURN LEFT!! NO THATS THE WRONG WAY, TURN AROUND!! When he found it he usually died and had to start looking all over again. Good times!

hey toby heres a tip: if you don't want to loose all your items/xp when you die you can type the cheat /gamerule keepInventory true then youll respawn with all your stuff and the same level xp just remember to do it everytime you load the world and make sure the I in keepInventory is a capital letter. >=D

You should watch all of the episodes. Start from the first season. There are a few different worlds throughout the series, but they are all good. Some of the best videos are when he played the Guild in Season 1 - New FortBuscus. But he abandons all of them at some point!
