Hey Dan late to the show. I’ve been studying and implementing your weathering techniques and I wanna thank you for taking the time to show us. I started the same process on weathering a covered hopper and by mistake I found that rusting up the catwalk and then dip a qtip in alcohol and lightly wipe away the rusted catwalk gives it a really cool rusted affect. Cheers!
I am finishing up the process of weathering a Tangent 4750 and was just wondering what you would do with your 4750's lol. Thank you for the tutorial and inspiration
Always learn something watching your videos!! Question: You might have mentioned in another video, but what do you use for the reflective yellow markers on the car ribs? All the best ...
Probably the best weather-er I've on TH-cam. Really nice work - fun to watch and learn!

Excellent Dan. Great weathering video.
Imagine spending an hour on this and being like, “ I’m finally done” and realizing you didn’t do the other side

Great modeling. Are you ever gonna stop waiting for Athearn to release a UNION PACIFIC GP40 2 and build one yourself?
What kind of thinner do you use for the oil paint?
What Paasche airbrush and compressor setup do you have?
Damn good.

What enamel thinner r u using. Mine started to pull the acrylic when I did the light brushing
I use klean strip thinner but it sounds like you may have burned through the clearcoat, if there was any. Did you over work the surface?
