To me, thats been a prominant theme since neverbloom. How hating yourself causes everyone around you to suffer. I absolutly love this band
I interpret it as someone attributing all of their destructive/negative behavior towards others because they feel "victimized" by them for whatever reason. Instead of looking inward to solve their struggles, they lash out at people and try to break them down, when they aren't even responsible for any of it in reality.
Sadly, it’s a vicious cycle, a vortex you could say…

Aging into my 30's now... most my favorite metal bands have changed for the worse or ended.... MAKE THEM SUFFER somehow continues to give me chills & keeps that spark alive deep inside me I felt as just a kid, all these years later. Unbelievable band.

Just gonna reiterate it like everyone else… Sean and Alex are the metal duo we didn’t know we needed, but now that we have it… it better not go ANYWHERE. That keyboard guitar is sick AF and her highs in the beginner were absolutely insane, and her cleans were also superb. This band has elevated to an entire new level.
It was a matter of time until these guys were gonna drop another banger. Eagerly waiting.

2:11 that vocal. WOW. But it's all so absolutely mindblowing throughout, those textures, the sincerity, brutality, aggression, and raw power. Absolute mastery of growl and scream vocals, and even the cleans and everything in between is bloody incredible. And the female vocals are amazing too and they compliment each other so well.
Wow! This was incredibly good! I’ve liked all the female vocalists they’ve had in the past, but I cannot deny that adding Alex in the lineup added something even more special to MTS. In a way, they feel complete! Can’t wait for the future music they’ll put out! 💚

I love the underlining disonance with the piano it fits with the chaos of the heavy chugs on top. And of course Alex gives us all chills with that glorious unexpected harmony.

i can’t believe how good this is. the back & forth between Sean & Alex, the chorus & the CHUNK. MTS are on a whole different level with these new songs. if this & doomswitch are any indication of how the new album sounds, it may be their best work to date.
