That was a cool curiosity. Part of me was imagining that Euwe and Botvinnik were silently thinking "Would that guy shut up? I'm trying to concentrate!"
Geniale Video! Botwinnik lauded the idea of h5 and Ng4 by Euwe after the game. However, after 22. ...Ng4 Botwinnik could have won by Qb8+! if the king then walks into his lufthole at h7 (only move) then white follows up with Be4+ forcing the Black Queen on c2 to recapture. After that the black rook on c1 falls. Still, great to see live action of the ex world champs!
EntropicalNature After 23. Qb8+ Kh7; 24. Be4+ Qxe4; 25. Rxc1 then Black plays 25... Nxe3 threatening mate on g2, and after 26. fxe3 Qxe3 forks the White K and R. The White King is then horribly exposed and Euwe would have had no difficulty obtaining a draw. I'm sure both players saw all this. They were, after all, both great players even when playing blindfold.

This is a treasure!
Wow, what a treat! Both men come off rather well, I have to say.
Euwe's defence was very ressourceful. That idea with h5 and Ng4 was pretty strong.
Heel mooi om dit te zien. Veel beter dan nu. Lekker rustig en allemaal in het hoofd. Echt prachtig.
This is really cool! Thanks for uploading it. I wish my Dutch was better, I'm having to try to puzzle it out from German.
Classic, like the intro music, sounds like a spy movie or something.

after ...Nxe3 26. Qb1 winning.
It seems you are wrong - 23. Qb8+ is winning, as @tbhn2007 points out, with the Queen pin
Can you please provide subtitles in English?
This was unexpected. Im guessing the finish was a perpetual? I dont speak german or dutch.
Indeed, perpetual check.
Draw?
Wow! Great find :). Was this from East Germany?
From Holland.
Blind!!!????
That was superb. Thank you, Endspiel48!
There is a great, Potemkin-like sequence from 18:20 to 18:30.
Who is the demo board controller? Is it Constant Orbaan?
Sorry! I've seen it now. Pim Muhring!
Muhring co-authored many books with Max Euwe.
