Dried beans from Asian supermarket is VERY cheap. They sprout easily. 😎 Adzuki is good.
If they aren’t meant for sprouting specifically they can make you sick. Learned that the hard way using very cheap seeds and beans.
Thanks.
any pet store has (hydroton) clay pellets aka lizard bedding neutral ph etc same stuff
Cool, thanks.
Are they a lot cheaper? They must be.
About peas. If the roots are shooting up too much in the beginning it helps to put another container on top of the peas for weight/blockage. That helps the roots find their way down into the reservoir. 👍
Great stuff again Mike!!! Even though I have been doing the micros for a couple years now, I still learn things watching you. I still have the dollar tree containers from way back and the sand was very intersting. :) I also picked up the deeper trays for the peas specifically to keep the seeds dry and prevent mold. That was a great tip from your video a few days back.
Awesome man! Let's chat sometime.
Great ideas..
I am definitely going to try growing micro green lettuces this winter..
❤❤ a Canadian fan
Thank you! Keep on Growin'!
Love your energy! Keep experimenting with new ideas, yes!
Thank you Dan!
Thank you
Thanks Mike.
U can use coffee containers too.
Mike, you're a great inspiration to many of us. I bought the "sprouting trays" you use through your link. I also bought my first "GMO FREE" Salad Mix of seeds on Amazon. I did exactly as the instructions said (it's VERY easy), along with following your videos and had my very first "harvest" in around 7 days. I'm so excited (and I thought I had a brown thumb :0). Anyway, thanks for all you do. God bless you and your family, take care.
That's awesome! I am so happy for you!
I love your ideas!
What a great idea 🇳🇿❤️
Awesome indoor setup 🥬 TFS!
Thank you!
happy to see you stopped using aluminum foil for covers. I have used lid tops from food/yogurt/cookie containers
Love your content, you got me started in hydroponics. How do you keep up with nutrient production? You have so many plants growing you have to be making a daily 55 gallon drum to keep up. Would love to see a behind the scenes on how you manage all your nutrients.
No, I make 5 gallons at a time, it lasts me more than a month.
You have helped me so much! Thank you for the time and effort you put into teaching us so many ways to be successful.
Were you ever in orchestra at school? Violin, viola, or cello?
Not in school, I did try the violin once.
No matter what I do, my seeds will ALWAYS get a TON of fungus growing, even after just 2 days.
Idk what I'm doing wrong, the seeds I'm using are 4 yrs old, and they'd always germinate 90 - 95%; now I'm lucky if 60% germinate.
Hey Mike, you said you're in Florida, what growing zone are you in? I believe I'm in 9b here in AZ. Thanks for all you do, God bless you.
North FL, I think 9b
Build small growing towers .
thanks for this. say hi to your lizard!
Make a small growing tower with coffee containers.
I stopped drinking coffee. Maybe I will look at what else there is
@KeepOnGrowin copper or brass or glass like sand 🤔. Water, sand, glass . Water Stone 💧.
Cave man water system with stone an water system an humidity plant system?.
Mike, do you have a video about setting up the green containers with the sand and refillable bottles?
That is coming soon, editing it now. I wanted to show the grow rack. Should be done this coming week.
@@KeepOnGrowin thank you Mike. Your efforts are truly appreciated.
Thank you for all your videos. What are the name of the square containers with the holes in the top container and do you have a link to purchase?

10:02 What are the brown spherical objects? Looks like what drops from my Live Oak tree. I have an entire 50 gallon trash can filled with them. TY
clay pebbles or leca
The clay pebbles are also called Hydroton. As someone else mentioned, they're pretty cheap at any pet store that sells reptiles.
Just found the channel ❤ I am very pleased with your captions! How do you do that?!
I use Descript
@@KeepOnGrowin !♡ thanks, luv!
Hello Mike, I'm always really excited about your videos and tips. I have a big garden in the summer and would like to start using your method with the water dispenser adapter in the winter. When I go to your site and want to order - it always says no delivery to Germany??? What can I do? Best wishes Beate
Do you know someone that can 3D print?
Hello Mike, yes a friend has a 3D printer. How can we do it?
Best regards Beate Dietrich@@KeepOnGrowin

hello, nice work, what type of lights do you use and how powerful are they?
Here's the ones I have: amzn.to/3A4uvjh
Grow light on water bottle will grow algae.
Did you see any? Microgreens are done in 7 to 10 days. Do as you like.
Hello! I checked out your Etsy store. How much soil does your self-watering mason jar planters hold? Thank you!
I don't use soil with it. Clay pebbles or sand.
I would love to buy your bottle stabilisers in the UK, but as far as I can see, they are not available here
I am looking for people that would like to print them around the world.
@@KeepOnGrowin I can do that in India. Please share some details of how to collab..

Let me know if you start in case others ask for them in your area.
@@KeepOnGrowin yes let's do this. Are you getting queries from India? Let's take this further on mail, what's your email ID?

Are you still on Facebook? I followed your page until I think you took it off Facebook when you were transitioning from gutters to glass. I see a lot of new videos I need to catch up on. I bought all the stuff for Master Blend but haven't used it yet. I also had purchased your program on Etsy.
Still on Facebook, almost every day. They cut a lot of traffic for the older channels recently.
I have tried and tried and tried to get sprouts going. I can’t afford lights the microgreens need. My option right now is sprouts. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. They are not fully sprouting and then turn bad.
Microgreens don't need much light.
@@KeepOnGrowin I used to grow them. Then, my husband passed away. I lost the house and most of what we owned. I’m low, fixed income now trying to raise our 13 yr old son in a kind of run down trailer in a new state. I feel sprouts are my only option right now. Trays don’t work for me. Jars with sprouting lids aren’t working. I use true leaf seeds. I rinse twice a day with filtered water. Do you have any advice?
@@carvertmmy Could be the temperature. Could be not draining properly. Are you leaving them inverted until most of the water drains?
Can you grow in decomposed granite instead of sand?
I don't know, I have not tried.
Like to know where to get them stands for the sodabotlles. If there 3D printed, please a link? PLEASE.
The link is in the description
Not just a piece of plastic. Bioplastic that takes over an hour to make. I don't have a 3d farm.
