Wow, very nice consumption an ID.3 will eat his hart out 🤔😂 I manage a global consumption of 20 kWh/100km during the whole year in the Netherlands, and I often drive 100kph instead of an higher speedlimit in the evenings. So very well done and a good use of your skills and profession!
@flyingtools Hi. Where did you buy leaf bms ?How much cost is it ? Is it dificult to connect with him ? Is it possible to make some changes in bms software? Do you have any links to tutorial "know how". I would like to connect batteries to leaf bms and charge it from sofar sollar hyd inverter. Dalla CAN-bridge would do a favour with communication with inverter. Have a great day!

Are you using just the motor and controller or the whole stack with charger and DC-DC converter? Last time I looked into the resolve controller, you had to use the original battery from a Leaf but now I see u use VW Batteries?
@@flyingtools It seems to me that the reason one measures capacity is to identify where improvments can be made. A 10% loss in charging is an area where improvements probably need to be made, especially if one is using solar panels for charging.

I was thinking of purchasing a damaged Dacia Spring for about 5000-6000 € and convert it to a home storage device. The idea was to keep the battery in the car and still charge it with the on board charger. Then remove the HV leads from the motor control unit and connect them with a solar inverter. What do you think, will it work or am I overlooking something. Best regards Stefan from Germany
I had the same idea 10 years ago, but now the cell price of new EVE LF280K Grade A with 6000 cycles is actual approx 73 €/kWh. So new LFP cells for a 30 kWh battery are aprox 2200 €.
If your battery goes low in one cell what will turn it off? The car will se that the current are leaving the battery for no reason and most likely open up the main relay. So to drain the battery you need to bypass those relays, and then, what will protect your battery? You can do this a few times like I did and check the cells yourself, but in the long term you need some bms that will do that for you.

If you measure the power you need to put in to fully charge it, you will know the actual power required to do x kilometers?
Brilliant idea, especially when you don't have a fit-for-purpose energy meter for the measurement.
There is losses during charging, it can be more then 10%
