It sounds like the most epic mariachi battle of all time. And now I can't get that image out of my head. This song will forever have that image inside my head every time I hear it. Good gosh.
I think it's really neat that the pixel remaster gave us a second verse to this track. I think it's my favorite theme out of all the standard battle themes of 1-6 after the additions.
@@scpfilechildrenbarrow2212 They dun goofed then, because the OST published by Square Enix both on TH-cam and Spotify has an extra verse. You can also confirm this if you play the original game on Super Famicom (or emulator) as well. EDIT: Just checked, and they just repeat it. I must be getting deaf lol.
Basically, the first verse is how the OST sounded in the original version while the second verse is the version used by most of the later ports and remakes.
0:57 Here's a tip: Use !Control on the Baldanders and you can make it cast the Blue Mage spell White Wind! Cast it on a Blue Mage and they'll learn how to do it themselves!
To think this theme is but a 35-second loop! You really wouldn't guess, since it never ever gets old. Here's a testament to Nobuo Uematsu's talent. I think this works because of a funky and varied bassline. I'd go as far as to say this is a paragon of a JRPG battle theme!
I absolutely love this theme, it's up there for me as far as regular battle themes go. For the record, my party was mostly Blue Mage Bartz, White Mage Lenna, Samurai Faris, and Black Mage Krile
Considering the Battle system of Final Fantasy V you want all of your characters to do well in most of the jobs or at least have certain jobs on certain characters considering you become the most powerful If you switch back to Freelancer before entering the final area and thus gain access to the passive attributes you get once a job is mastered.
The only version of the song to give us the trumpets, instead of some thrice damned electric guitar. I love it.😭
Pretty sure the trumpets came in at the Dissidia arrangement with this version obviously being based off the Dissidia one
The GBA version was pretty trumpety
As trumpety as a GBA can get at least

The original SNES version also had 2 verses. You can tell because the bassline is completely different in both.
@@hfc2x You can listen to the original snes ver in-game and it says there it's 33 seconds.

The trumpets make it sound like mexican battle music
The most epic mexican battle ever
Oh god now I can't unhear it
Now that I think of it it sounds like it could b perfect 4 a future Pokemon game that's based off Mexico when u battle a wild Pokemon or a trainer
kinda like final fantasy x
Bravely Default takes that to a whole different level.

Correction: the _original_ one was a 35-second loop.
This arranged version is a 1-minute (or so) loop.
theres so much good stuff in it

Me too. 😁
I did Bartz as a White Mage + Knight mix. Kinda like Paladin Cecil from Final Fantasy IV
