I had no idea there were so many different kinds of native honeysuckle. We just planted the coral last fall. I also planted some seeds this spring. I hope they germinate. How many different honeysuckle do you have growing at your place in NJ? I loved your video. I hope you are doing well.

Nice! I bought some coral honeysuckle last year, I can't wait to see it grow this summer.

Just to be clear, are you saying that if I plant a native honeysuckle, it won’t take over my yard? Thanks

Some of them can cover 20 ft or more but not as aggressive as invasives. Some are shrubs

It won't take over, but will look full -- that's exactly what is needed. You don't want some piddly small plant. Native plants need to spread and cover a large area for maximum benefit. Plus, it's wonderful to see "volunteers" pop up in places you haven't planted them, and also in between other plantings. Looks more beautiful than one plant here, then 3 feet away is another one, with chemically-dyed mulch in between -- the look so many people insanely prefer.

PLEASE READ: My brother just told me that 60% of the bees are gone now due to mite infestation. I'm so saddened to hear this. My friend just had 4 bee boxes that all died and he believes it's due to pesticides. People please stop using pesticides!! Also stop using rodent poisons because it is killing our wildlife. Our already endangered birds like hawks, falcons, owls etc are eating the poisoned mice and dropping like flies here in Canada and all over. Breaks my heart to find dead birds everywhere. Plz do a video on this!! We are all responsible for taking care of this planet and we need to demand change in Gov! It saddens me to see so many poisons being sold in big box stores everywhere. It makes people think it is okay and normal to use them when it is not! Corporate giants are in bed with Gov and they are massively polluting and poisoning our planet!! We need to demand change now! Our future depends on it!! Please share and spread the word!🙏😔 WE ALL NEED TO CARE MORE ABOUT THE NATURAL WORLD BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!!

So with you about this! My stomach turns visiting stores with all the toxic chemicals for so-called pests and grassed lawns, including cruel traps such as smoke bombs for woodchucks, mice, rats, deer, rabbits, etc. They should ALL BE BANNED! People have become so obsessive about seeing even one insect buzzing around -- when they're all needed, and when nature maintains a balance. I'm so sick of the neighbours around me who do 2X monthly toxic misting all over their gardens/yards to kill "weeds" and keep "pests" at bay, plus the ear-splitting noise from their petrol/gas powered equipment. Surrounded by these maniacs, meanwhile my outdoors is totally chemical free (not even so-called organics) , and mostly native perennials, shrubs and trees, and large areas where the grass and "weeds" are never cut. It's so wondrous seeing all the wildlife, birds, dragonflies, insect of all kinds visiting my yard. It's horrific for me to see them pecking or grazing on my neighbours' toxic land.

you should write "native to ________ " and name the region, as many folks from around the world watch TH-cam, and some of the invasives in Canada, US etc are native to other countries.
