    I actually just made one of these bad boys. Less fancy than yours, of course, but it works! I decided to use an Arduino Uno as a power source and it turns out that it works a lot better than I anticipated. Running just from USB with the default antennas, I can make any 2.4ghz device believe that no connections are available, and it definitely messes with my Bluetooth stereo and headset. Thanks for the tutorial and link to the parts!

    If you install a diode instead of the resistor inline with the charge port power you gain reverse polarity protection as well as the forward voltage drop you are looking for. Just an idea...

    On this setup you manufactured the antennas yourself. Could you also extract a set of 4 WiFi antennas (as you showed first) and use them instead of having to make them yourself? Or would they not cause the same noise effect as the DIY antennas?

    I wonder if it is possible to optimize design and use only 1 or 2 AV transmitters and counter to switch between channels ? If yes then how fast should be this switch to generate enough noise to prevent AP association ?

    • @xennex9261
      @xennex9261 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Piotr Król A cheaper way to do this is to flood deauth packets to APs, specifiying the broadcast address FF:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF as the client, and it will de auth all clients, put in loop and you have wifi jammer! And works from any regular wifi adapter

    • @pietrushnic
      @pietrushnic 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Xen Nex thanks for reply. I'm aware that using de-auth frames would be much cheaper, but this is not exactly what I want to achieve. I'm looking for cheap noise generator solution that can jam wifi network by decreasing SNR, just like it was shown in above video. This device is for testing purposes. I manage to get partial result using ESP8266 and UDP broadcast, but this drops signal to -90dBm only 1-2 times in a minute for couple of seconds. I need solution that can do this continuously.

      @andrewmcneil  11 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi i did think of this first but it does not work with these transmitters. They switch off the channel they are transmitting on then turn on the next. They cant transmit two or more channels at once. • @johngriffin618
      @johngriffin618 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Call the FCC, and ask them. You would have to prove he is intentionally jamming the 2.4GHz range, and not just accidentally causing interference. Get a spectrum analyzer like he has on the video, and a directional antenna and narrow down exactly where the source is coming from. If you narrow it down to his house, just knock on his door and be like, Hey, my spectrum analyzer tells me that a signal coming from your house is disrupting my wireless network. If he denies, tell him sorry for the mistake, and that you are calling the FCC to find out where it is coming from since it isn't his house. This will cause him to stop doing it if he is doing it on purpose most likely. If it is unintentional, ask him if you can enter the house to determine the source of the signal.
      Of course if he is a total douchebag who you hate you can always step it up with a CDMA/GSM/3G/4G/4GLTE jammer hidden in his bushes... ;)
      Only way you could prevent this wifi jamming inside your house is line the insides of your walls with lead foil (tin foil might work but lead is better.) Unfortunately this also has the effect of blocking all other signals inside your house, like cell phones. But you could also get a cell phone signal booster, wire an antenna to the roof, so you get service inside your house despite the shielding. All very costly though...

    You should get some affiliate accounts with amazon and stores where the stuff you use is for sale. I bet a lot of people buy a lot of things they see on your channel. Why not get a few pounds commision for it from the supplier. Can add up to some nice pocket money each month to buy tools and parts for videos.

  • @nn123654
    @nn123654 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    @dotnet Definately not legal in the US or the EU, in fact it's a federal offense with potential jail time to interfere with any communications signal. There are only 4 non-overlapping channels in the 2.4 GHz WiFi spectrum. Those are 1,6,11, and 14. 14 is only licensed for use in Japan. All other channels overlap. The FCC doesn't exactly have the most manpower and they are more worried about bigger things than somebody jamming wifi in a 200 ft area. However doing it for more than a couple minutes at a non-peak hour of the day as a proof of concept is just a jerk thing to do and if you were investigated you could get in trouble theoretically. If you live in an urban area it matters more a lot more than if you live in a rural area as you will disrupt many more people.

    Is this powerful enough to bring down drones?

      +William Hutchinson true, I'm soo fed up of these selfrichous bastards.
      "ooohhhhh my personal freedoms, privacy" guess what? your just going to break a 13 year olds christmas present.
      If your that worried what someone could easily see if they just steped up a ladder maybe we should phone the poliece on you?
      Any dedicated solution for spying on you as your soo paranoied about is going to have protection against some basic "jammer".

      yeah thats a good thing a few have now. but, especialy with low budget toys, they have no such functionality, and seccond, GPS is even easier to block than the 2.4 GHz group...

      Yes, but if the drone has gps (not a lot of them) the drone come to a position you set before.

      No jumper=channel 1 to 3. Jump pin 1 and 2=channel 4 and 6. Jump pin 1 and 3=channel 7 and 9. Jump pin 1 to 4=channel 10 and 12.

      I'm also wondering. The band is same, but the power output of the modules may be too low. A high gain panel antenna may be necessary in all cases.
