I went to the Virgin Megastore back in 1997 when you could listen to tracks on headphones to see if you wanted to buy the album. I heard this song and Lakini's Juice and left the store about $15 poorer. No regrets, great album!
I completely agree, I think it's far superior to their most popular album Throwing Copper. I Alone and Lightning Crashes are amazing singles, but Secret Samadhi is one of those perfect albums from start to finish. Every track fits and flows perfectly.
I'm going to see them TONIGHT and I saw them at Woodstock 99 but was a 25yr old kid and now 48 this is definitely my favorite song on this album and I remember laying in my bed listening to it with my new gf and so many emotions were going through me. Will ALWAYS love you yup,yup,yup!!
I never stopped listening to Live. The lead singer's voice is so powerful and haunting. There aren't too many singers I would put in the same category of this singer as far as talent goes.

Throwing Copper has some straightforward occult messages on it. there's Buddhist stuff related to that (be here now). The Distance to Here is a masterpiece that represents the journey. Thinking back to last years('23) FREE show they did on Fremont Street in Vegas...outstanding!! If you can think of a Live tune, they performed it!..a hour and a half set, Ed sounded great!
Pearl Jam have had their ups and downs but Backspacer is almost up there with Ten - superb. This Live track is painful to me, italways reminds me of splitting with my wife. Can remember crying by myself and singing out loud 'Where did I go wrong?' to this song. Took me some years to realise that it wasn't actually me who went wrong. C'est La Vie. Great song.

I never knew they did a video to this. Props to background vox Jennifer Charles. This song has got me through many years of depression, even when nothing has changed. It affirms my struggle for a relationship and I appreciate Live for making it.

Yep! My brother was a huge OLTL fan, his fav character was Roger Howarths Todd Manning! In that video it also shows Todd, Powell, and Zach rapping Marty Saybrook
