As a child we would vacation in Ontario and crossed at the straits on the open car ferry, I remember the last time we did I was 5 or 6 and my dad pointing out the bridge saying next year we'll cross on that. Since then I've crossed many times but the most memorable was a return trip pulling a 4 place snowmobile trail in a snow storm, speed limited to 25, 5 minutes after we crossed we heard on the radio they had closed the bridge, that was the only time I was truly uncomfortable on a crossing.
I have been over this bridge so many times, it would be hard to calculate. I like the drive from L.P. to U.P. much better. I love seeing it in the distance as you are driving on 75, north. It means you are that much closer to heaven on earth.

I hardly drive over it anymore.
@@TourDaYooP Because you already live in heaven.
We always went over it when we were little. We had a place Up-North... I am so use to it now. Though it can be scary in Winter.....
it certainly can get a lil scary during a storm --YooperSteve
With the road construction and weather it reminds me of the movie Finale Destination, were they were on a bridge of the same caliber.
That bridge has always scared the Da Yooper out of me. No matter how many times I went over it.
it can be a bit scary at times -- YooperSteve
