    YES! I always had one basic rule that I had pinned in my mind, I don't remember where I heard it originally but it was simply "If you make a mistake you're playing too fast". And the reason is just like you say here, the brain's motor system is so quick to pick up the mistakes as intentional, if you just keep repeating the phrase you will get stuck more and more on the same mistake. If that happens in my experience it's best to reduce the tempo to 25%, play it a few times perfectly, then "reset" your mind by playing something else for a while before you revisit the troublesome phrase.

    Hi Ozz, this is a great video with essential tips that I hope will be useful to everyone who watches your videos. Once again thank you for sharing your knowledge, it's super generous. For me, since the beginning, and I've been playing for 25 years now, the most important quality a musician must have is PATIENCE...
    Continue to share your work, which is of extreme quality by the way. Take care and see you next time. Laurent

    I tend to make the most mistakes in the first few minutes of learning a section because I’m just barely learning the notes of said phrase. But once I have the notes of the phrase memorized I slow it down and just play it perfectly at a comfortable tempo.
    I don’t know if maybe I should maybe start learning the phrases in a different way in order to be quicker.
    I am still also just barely memorizing the major scales across the fretboard, and though I’m improving at it I’m still not very quick to learn things by ear just yet. So when I read a tab I need a few minutes to actually figure out the most efficient finger positions before I’m comfortable playing it slowly.

    Im late for todays video . Was watching a video of Dave Mustaine insulting people during live concerts . I practice when i feel like practicing . U should have that mood for practice , one time i went 10 hours straight when i was learning eugenes trickbag by steve vai when i started to play guitar like 4 months ago and its been 1 year now and i can play songs like Scarified and Tornaod of Souls without any trouble . It happens like this like sometimes we are tired i dont start playing any technical stuff like Dream Theater or Racer X because that leads to mistakes and make u wanna quit . Thats why Scarified took me 2 months , i used to play it with he backing track when i was not in a mood and all those it used to let me down . So play when your fresh and get into the mood by watching some jason becker or Herman li shred it will help a lot 🤘🤘 .

      Merhabaar,
      Yorumunuz icin tesekkurler. Ben luthier olmadigim icin, uzerime afiyet olmayan bir konuda video yapmak istemem. Turkiye’de ve yurt disinda cok degerli luthierlerimiz var bu aradaslarin uzmanliklarinda yaptilari ve yapacaklari videolar cok daha isabetli olacaktir. TH-cam’a video yukleyen Cenker Baydere arkadasimin kanalina bakabilirsiniz bunun disinda Elmaguitaramp, Matt guitars, Mile Guitars, Koca Guitars, Erkan Sizarlar bildigim turk luthierler su an aklima gelmeyen biri varsa kusura bakmasin.

    If we practice all days is better or we can skip a day without loosing too much ?

    • @OzzGuitar
      @OzzGuitar  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Of course, you can skip 1 day after 6 days of practice or you can try 3 days of practice and 1 day off.

    Hocam guzel bi sorum var :) Sence hangi method daha faydali??
    1. Tum gun rahat oldugun bpm'de calis (yarim saat ayni egzersizi 80-90-100-110bpm yap ~ bunlarin hepsini komforlu yapiyorum)
    2. Rahat oldugun bpm'de basla, hata yapmadigin seviyenin biraz ustune dek arttir (80 ile basla, 150'ye dek arttir ~ 140+ hata yapmaya basliyorum, bunlarin hepsi 16 nota sequence Hocam, yani 600 notes per minute civari maximum hizim)
    Internette insanlar hep 2 diyor, ama bana 1 daha faydali gibi geliyor, bi senin tavsiyeni sorayim dedim Hocam. 1'i kullanarak one day remains'i nerdeyse tam hiza dek cikardim, ama 4 ay aldi! halada tam degil! :) Cok sagolasin Hocam!!

    • @OzzGuitar
      @OzzGuitar  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Önemli olan şarkıyı - egzersizi çıkartırken bile minimum hata da kalabilmek. Sonrası için maksimum temiz çaldığın hız 130'sa 140'a git gel ve esnetmeye çalış. Daha nadiren algını şaşırtmak için bir iki kez 150 ye gidip geri dönebilirsin. Ama asla kapasitenin üstünde yani bu örnek için 150 de kalıp bol hatalı bir çalışım yapma.
      Rica ederim
