I love this stove. I grew up with a pioneer princess and I wish I still had it... Steaks look great! Everything is better with butter!

Great looking steaks, they made my mouth water. I love the old cook stove, my grandmother used one until she died and the old stove was auctioned off when she passed back in the 1950's. She would even burn coal in it...

Now you know why your father kept that stove! It's all kinds of fun to cook and bake with these old stoves. I know I love my "Home Comfort" Kitchen range. They made these things to last!

You are going to burn your place down if you do not get the two parts that are missing on the back of the stove or make them. My stove came from a neighbor that updated their cabin and it had the wrong firebox heat shield on one side but a few minutes with my grinder and it fits like the factory part. My stove has two burner spots and a griddle space instead so I cook the meat or eggs or pancakes right on the griddle but I lay down a few strips of bacon first. I have yet to use the oven but I will. I have found that loading the firebox full is more wood then it takes for most meals. Since the family cabin was finished with an electric stove I installed my stove in the kitchen porch. Hunting season it came in handy as the power was out for several days so I was down to kerosene lamps and the Franklin for heat and cooking in the porch on the wood cook stove. Most of the city folks have gone to electric or propane so the cabin tract is littered with squaw wood which I can bring to the cabin to use to cook.

That stove looks great, obviously works like a charm!!
Make sure to keep CO2 detectors in the home when burning.

We use a Glenwood C cook stove and my wife found a great way to cook steaks, chops etc on the stove. Once the fire is going and you have built up some coals open the upper side door to the firebox and slide the steaks in using a hot dog camp grill. Use the kind that is a clam shell type. The steaks will cook directly over the fire. They did make a cast iron grill for this purpose but it can be hard to find.

You should look this up. it is what is happening inside your wall because you have an improperly installed chimney. just because it doesn't burst into flames instantly doesn't mean it's not going to.
good luck be sure to post the video of when it starts on fire I'm curious to see how long it takes?
not trying to be morbid just curious.

Those ribeyes look heavenly. Since you're using the stove I assume you straightened out your stove pipe installation? If not you better stop using it before you burn your house down and your insurance won't pay because the cause of the fire was a do it yourself uninspected chimney installation.
