Ha...! I never drink more than 17 cups of coffee during a song. *Shakes head, sips coffee cup* But I'll always make an exception when it comes to this song.
CAN WE JUST TALK ABOUT HOW SUAVE AND SMOOTH THIS FUCKIN JAZZ IS RIGHT HERE? Just seriously, if you don't appreciate the games, you gotta fuckin admit the soundtrack is the bEST YOU'VE HEARD IN FOREVER.
Godot and Iris are easily two of my favourite characters from T&T. They are so tragic, and it's difficult (if not impossible) not to take a liking to them. Godot was really a broken man. Even though he survived Dahlia's attempt on his life, he lost the woman he loved and the young girl who ruined his life was gone. This led to his determination to beat Phoenix, who is linked to the two ladies. He chased the stupid fantasy that was beating Wright in court, but didn't realise it until after the latter exposed him as Misty's murderer. The sad thing was that he wanted to protect Maya (likely to compensate for failing to save Mia) but killed her mother as a result. It's sad when he reveals that involving Phoenix himself would have likely prevented the disaster, as the latter had foiled Morgan (le) Fey's plan in court before. It is very likely during his last trial, he wanted to see if Phoenix could prove a worthy successor to Mia. He killed Misty Fey, but it's difficult to entirely fault him for it. Iris was also a sad yet beautiful character. She was perhaps the only sane and decent person (excluding Pearls) in Morgan's side of the family. I think it's touching how much she cared for Dahlia despite the atrocities she committed. She always insisted that Dahlia was not as bad as people made her out to be, and to be honest, it is possible. Moreso if Dahlia didn't have a woman like Morgan as her mother. Iris wasn't entirely innocent though. She pretended to be Dahlia and lied to Feenie's face throughout. But she did love him eventually. Her involvement, however, unintentionally led to the deaths of Doug Swallow and Dahlia herself. She was also involved in Godot's plan to protect Maya, which led to Misty's death. She even altered the crime scene and stabbed Misty's corpse. She was willing to go with the plan regardless of the punishment. She was likely sympathetic to Godot's cause as well. Her confession at the end was touching, and it was a warming moment to know that the "Dollie" Phoenix had fallen for was Iris all along. Oh, and this version of Godot's theme is definitely my favourite. It's even better if you lower the pitch a bit IMO.
Man... to be honest, Trials and Tribulations is all about love and it's tragic demeanor (that is if you exclude Recipe for turnabout... that interestingly enough was meant to be a JFA case that it's full of frauds and deceivery) and if you think of it deeply enough, you'll see that both Pheonix and Godot both share very similar destinies regarding love. Pheonix only loved once thus for him was "madly in love" for "Dhalia" (Iris) but he came across the gruesome truth that the girl by the name of Dhalia Hawthorne was nothing but a psychopath that ultimately set the start for his years of suffering deep inside in disbelieve and impotence; this is very most similar to Diego's experience by alternately a different situation build by the same antagonist. It makes me sad that both of them somehow lost their love of their lives by the same wicked woman and regardless of the facts, they both a VERY bittersweet end. Godot's now knowing that his darling's will lives through an outstanding young fellow, leaves the stage with only the hope of finding his loved one in the afterlife; meanwhile, Nick after long living in a lie that gives him a heartache upon recall figures that "THAT girl" he loved so foundly really existed and have not change a bit from what he remembers, only to have her convicted (who knows how many years) within his grasp and that there's nothing he can do about that other than holding to his promise of never skiping a visit anytime he got the chance. Now there's is some deep shit
That is deep. I kinda hoped that Iris would at least get a mention in Spirit of Justice, seeing as the game includes spirit channelling and Maya Fey. After all, Iris did play a part in Phoenix's past.
I always liked the cover art for the orchestra. The Prosecutors are hilarious (Manfred with his "I am better than all of you!" and Maggie just terrified as Franziska whips Gumshoe while Edgeworth's in his own little world as per usual...) Meanwhile over on the Defense's side, Mia's returned from the dead, Maya's being weird, Pearl's cute as usual and Larry is showing off.
I can't stand the taste of coffee. Really. Yet that actually only increases the poignancy of this song for me. It's bitter indeed, and nothing can change that at it's core, but... that's the whole point of Godot's character, forcing himself to swallow the bitter truth, yet alas he learned too late... ...You can find other drinks out there, if you don't get absorbed in your own self pity to stop looking for them. It won't change the bitterness of coffee, but there are lots of other flavors to be enjoyed too! God, I hope that allegory doesn't fly over people's heads.
I used to hate the bitter taste of coffee, but I had to learn to taste it and describe the flavors when I started working at Starbucks. While I still prefer tea these days, coffee does have my respect.
Even though it sounds cool, they did wrong to the song. It doesn't resemble the darkness of coffee anymore, but rather a fairyworld (that's what i think of by hearing this) with sometimes a bit jazz
I love how everyone is just wearing super fancy clothes and then there's Gumshoe, who can't afford it.
Ha...! I never drink more than 17 cups of coffee during a song.

+Godot
I'm pretty sure you don't shake your head, but you smell the coffee.
You suck. Where's edgey?
+Dylan Frazier Still in Japan because Gyakuten Kenji 2 hasn't been localised

Here's a note with the names of the people you blackmail.

Especially my soundtrack,right?

And he still messed it up.

I wonder what happened to the OP through this time period....
Ammar Okla

I'm good, thanks for asking :)

I don't like godot.
+Fulgore2005 It was nice to read this whilst listening to this song xD
Thanks. I thought it would have been appropriate for this song. :)

Nice flute work, Edgey. :3
I love that Edgeworth plays the flute because I play the flute too
My sister plays flute and one of my friends plays saxophone.
I wish wendy old bag is here playing the bagpipe.

Every time I see this picture... I grin at the part with Maya.
Nice. Sit back and listen to this while sipping on some blend #102.

God, I hope that allegory doesn't fly over people's heads.
You really did understand the core of Godot, even you allegory loks like something he would say
If you get past the bitterness of coffee, you can learn to appreciate its flavor. And soon, you will find that coffee isn't that bad either.
I used to hate the bitter taste of coffee, but I had to learn to taste it and describe the flavors when I started working at Starbucks. While I still prefer tea these days, coffee does have my respect.
First I wondered why people liked him. But with an awesome theme, an edgy personality and cyclops visor what's not to like
This is great for studying.
Listing to this song while doing anything chill is so heavenly.
Godot is so fucking cool
I hope they bring Godot back for AA7, even if it's just for a cameo
"I never drink more than 17 cups of coffee during one orchestral song."
Larry's just like "This is how it's done fgts"
CM Novian Indeed it does.
ironically he's plating the bow on the fingerboard😂😂😂
*playing
Wafie Rocks Does it LOOK like he gives a fuck?
Wouldn't surprise me.
my soul is melting away
I... I hope you got it back.
B-but Godot wouldn't be able to see the cushions on the seats...
He can't only see red if it is on a white background
+LSEpic
or the ties...
He would be able to see them since the chair is brown
He cant see any of the bowties either
i am more surprised by maggey at the back
She's kind of a minor character, but I'm glad she's here.
they're the actors for the game characters, Von Karma's actually pretty cordial when you get to know him. he also has a sweet tooth.
Beautiful
Agreed
Im craving for dark coffee now...
why yes it is!
I never noticed until now.
Thank you for pointing that out!
I love this so much I made the whole tracks from the games my theme songs.
Manfred is so into it.
Not only that but that particular violin stance really shows his villain character in an elegant way.
awww its so smooth im slidin outta my chair!
Wow that's fascinating.
I think Godot deserves his own game by now...
This rendition is way too sexy! Although I have no objections.
Godot I love you so much
because he's in the audience listening to the epic jazz and drinking coffee
**Takes a coup of coffee** **starts to listen to this song**
Deploying smooth Jazz in 3...2...1...
I remember that too!
yup!
Godot 3swag5me
*realises this exists*
Is that Von Karma in the far back? 0_0
He's practicing on his saxophone.....
Is that Von karma in the back ground to the right?
wright
Yes. Next to him is Edgeworth on the flute.
***** He's on the Foreground
KJay600 I said Wrigth like Rigth
Well there isn't really a time in his life it could happen. Unless it's set before the whole series.
Well sound jazzy
Not bad...very relaxing...
I'm just looking for that comment when someone scored a lady with this song at a dance.
#juicebumps
He is in the jazz album. :3
what is it with ace attorney and great album covers?
Hi is in another picture, the cover, i think
I'd think you'd have worked it out by now, Trite.
I'm sitting in the audience with Godot blend #107
@commanderdragos in my album, the Orchestra Version sounds way different from this one ._.
relaxxxxxx :333
@ilovemylittlepup Good question :P
DrossRotzank
What... does... it... MEAN?
@@yellobanana6456 a venezuelan youtuber who make a video with this song like soundtrack , so many years ago...
which von karma, theres two of them
Why in the world isn't Godot in the picture???
Is that Mia fey in the black dress?
@RATPT0I Yup.
Easy! He was taking a coffee break during the time it was taken! 8D
Poor Gumshoe
Who's that between Edgeworth and Gumshoe?
Oh, her. "The unlucky goddess".
When I see that I just think of Franziska whipping them repeatedly yelling "Play you insolent fools!"
Matt Engarde How's that acquittal working out for you? >;)
+Dev Tam Nope, he stated his guilt so he would be safe in jail :P
Maggy Byrde... The Goddess of Misfortune, who claims to now be a Unlucky Person.
Even though it sounds cool, they did wrong to the song. It doesn't resemble the darkness of coffee anymore, but rather a fairyworld (that's what i think of by hearing this) with sometimes a bit jazz
@canadmexi
Yep! back from the dead, just like von karma.
Anything for this song aparantly ^_^
I used to slander poor Franzi. But now I don’t.
Got here from Ask Feferi :33
this is the Jazz Soul version -_-
Are you sure that's not a fiddle in reference to "The Devil Went down to Georgia"? XD
Did you slow this down? It sounds different somehow!
I know that, it's just, I've always listened to a different Gyakuten meets Orchestra version of the same song.
Tom de Kler Actually, this is orchestra. The version you may have listened to may be the Jazz Soul version.
Nah, there's a faster orchestra version out there as well.
Well,
Thank you for confusing me.
... there's a year behind this title and everything.
This is excellent but Godot was never my favorite character.
2 people dont like coffe......
This is actually not orchestra but jazz ._.
swg
the jazz version is better tbh
I love both, but I still like the jazz version better tho
