- This a little video where I explain how I set up and ground balance my Fisher CZ-21 submersible metal detector for saltwater and fresh water hunting. With no ocean available at the moment I took into our pool out back!
They can keep their Excaliburs...Love my Fisher's....Got two Impulses about 15 years ago and made tons of money plus rings, No troubles whatsoever. Now I have a used CZ-20 and love it too.

No messy leaves, flower petals or dirt to deal with. Easy maintenance for sure. The beautiful color of the pool is the true jewel!

I saw this for sale at my dealers shop, I assumed it was a modern analog, but now I see this video is 9 years old
Would you still use this machine? Do you prefer analog to digital detectors?
Does it work better in EMI than a digital detector?
Hello Gopherhole- The CZ-21 is still one of the best saltwater detectors on the market. It runs multifrequency 5kHz and 15 kHz and I still DO use this detector at the beach. It's waterproof down to 250 feet, not that I'll ever go that deep, but I surely don't have to worry about it flooding out in waist deep water.

Not near any salt water, but I'm near about 20 or more fresh water beaches on the shoreline of georgia n bay in ontario canada, ive only ever used the simplex and legend machines, and they can struggle a bit in the wet sand, expecially the simplex, they work a bit better with large coils, but I usually have small coils on for park hunting
Ive been super curious about analog detectors since "metal detecting NYC" got the nexus v3 or whatever it was called, he says its better in some ways than digital detectors

On the the Fisher CZ21....can the coil be replaced with a larger one?
Hello Sylvia- The coils for these detectors are hard wired...so no. Fisher does offer an 8" and 10" version of this detector though.
@@AmericanDetection You can send it to fisher for a swap. I did this to get a bigger coil.
