Yes, thank you, I see that on review on that card, but I never picked that card upgrade. At 49:56, I picked the punch card that says: “Deal 8 to a chosen enemy”, yet the next battle all my punch cards are doing 10 to a random? Then, at 51:43, the start of my ill-fated final fight, the punch card magically transformed into the “PUNCH REINFORCED++” card, which “Deals 10 to a random enemy”. That cost me the fight, and the win. That’s a bug, and a big one. I received no other upgrades to punch between those two times. Feel free to correct me if I missed something, but I don’t think I did.
Nop. I had 4 relics and 3 pieces of equipment. For the relics: I had the starting Magnifying Glass, which gives you +1 consumable after each fight, the Statuette of An Eagle which grants after every 5 block, deals 10 damage to a random foe, a Crystal Ball relic that grants a one time +3 draw at the start of each battle, and the excellent Moon Amulet, which grants +1 AP, but one less consumable slot. For equipment: I had the Mechanic’s Belt, which grants +2 slots for consumables, the Bible, which grants 2 stacks of Fearless, and the Leather Gloves that grants a one time +3 draw at the start of each battle. None of any of those items would explain what happened. So it was a bug, a big one.
Hmm, good eye; it seems I did. I thought that upgrading one card type would upgrade all identical cards; that is clearly not the case. You start with 4 punch cards with the private detective, and I was apparently upgrading each card individually, not as a set type; a very important rule to remember in a card game! So, that last fight was not a bug, I just got hosed by my random punches; an “upgrade” to surely avoid in the future! Thanks for catching that.
The issues at the end weren't a bug - you upgraded your punch cards to attack a random enemy
