He now has Alzheimer's and all he remembers is that I gave it to him, not the relevance of it. I enjoyed seeing what else is contained in this treasure.
No “United Kingdom” in 800. The kingdom of Dal Riata, west Scotland settled largely by Irish (the original Scotti). A humbling work whatever the origin.
This is entirely correct, but for the sake of simplicity we have chosen to refer to present-day nations and borders when localising the works. Thank you for your careful observation!
