This is a fun, cheerful and catchy song. How many millions of people across the world over 50 years have sung this at primary school, when with a group of friends or while riding in their car as it played on the radio or on cassette deck, CD player or Thumbdrive? Who could write this, sing it with such jocularity and make it a big hit - only the Beatles. It was the first Beatle single record I owned, still have it and have listened to and sung Ob-la-di, Ob-la-da, all my life. Singing it and reflecting over a life-time with it, just makes one feel happy.
