I came back to this song today because I remembered a girl from my days who loved this song. We weren't a couple or anything, but boy did I find her beautiful. Her eyes were hypnotizing and she has a certain quality about the way she speaks that calms down the storm in any guy's heart. She was sweet and funny. She was the head of our acting theatre in the school. I remembered when we were having a rehearsal break, I played this song out loud in my phone and she immediately noticed me and told me "I love that song". She passed away in a traffic accident not long after that. She indeed was a beautiful soul.

Indeed, I really like how they translated it. Utada's is damn good, but it's more of a sad, break-up song. Whereas this one is more like a bittersweet memory, sad about the way things went down, but the experience taught you something and for that, it'll always remain a part of you.
