You can leave to dry for about half hour before floating, that would avoid cracking in the wall when dry, the thicker your mortar be, the longer it take to dry
@@stkittsandnevisislandlife2117 I love it here in the Caribbean coming into 3rd year, its tough here but love it. You're only a few hops away, I want to explore the other islands as I get time and money
Again, that was interesting. Really nice work on the plastering. Maybe you should have added a clip “one day later” in caption to show the wall all dried out. However, I understand that your main purpose was to show how it is done. That’s hard work… but things become easier with the right attitude, and when you love what you are doing. Respect!
In St kitts and Nevis only if the wall is really bad and it requires thick martor then we normally would use to coats, scratch coat first then plaster the next day, each Country do them thing different boss, respect 🙌💯🇰🇳
Good question, but in this country we usually plaster the wall at once, like i did in the video, only if the wall is really bad and would require more than half to 3/4 inches mixture then we'll scratch coat first [flash ] and then plaster the next day
1 : 7 ratio ?? what kind of Sand ? I been doing 1 bucket cement to 4 sand (we use this fine limestone sand) I keep thinking 1:7 wouldn't be very durable? am I wasting cement?
Remember that's a small construction bucket, so it would be seven of that, but if u decide to use the 5 gallons bucket it would definitely be 4 to 4 1/2 to one sock cement, remember the wall tends to crock when use to much cement
@@stkittsandnevisislandlife2117 I just go on ration 1 equal bucket of Cement to 3-5 for sand... I get you too rich is no bueno,. Here we got this white limestone sand they called "talco" which we use for plastering and its very very strong.
Thanks for watching guys plz remember to subscribe, like and share🙌👌
Greetings. Is there any wait time between each part of the process? If so, what are the time frames? Thanks.

why didnt you flash or rough cast the walls before rendering..?

Whats the sand to cement ratio?
I normally use one sack cement 42.5 kg to 4 - 5, five gallon bucket of sand, thanks for commenting🙌💯👌
How long the blubond should be applied for before u put on morta ?
Any was between 6 to 24 hours would be great 👍, if it on beyond 24 hours you can damp it with a little water before plastering / Rendering
Am I hearing my Guyanese accent? Great video
Yes you are correct i am Guyanese living here in St kitts and Nevis. Thanks for commenting plz share 😊
