You don't give yourself enough credit. You're very skilled pilot and I can't believe you pushed it to the limits that you did. Great videos thanks for uploaded!
This kind of direct drive is a game changer for all 3D helis. Less part and effort to repair if anything happened, better response too without worrying to strip the gear on heavy punch. The only downside perhaps is auto-rotate. I hope manufacturers are creating some kind of mode that allows the tail motor to spin accordingly on auto-rotate mode. Glad that acrobatic heli scenes are picking up the trend again.
I have been watching a lot of your videos I just bought the e160 and shortly after bought the e180 I absolutely love the e180 it’s either carbon fiber or aluminum and all the bolts are are the same size for the most part 1.5mm hex will take the whole heli apart. 👍👍👍
Alishanmao has to be careful doing 3d🤣🤣Dude! You test the heck out of rc helicopters, that's why Eachine gave you the prototype.. they wanna see what this bird can do. Great job...but we all know you're gonna let loose on the next flight.
Definitely a nice machine, but at first glance the omp m2 has the edge. I like my metal case servos, tear drop boom and excellent craftsmanship on the omp m2. I like adjustable links and imo the rotorhead is nicer on the omp m2.
Totally agree. M2 still is one step ahead with its design. simpler rotor head, less components and more tune able manually. still its good to see more options to choose from.
@@yeetcannon1693 I guess that will matter to people who live near somewhere they can buy OMP spares. It's all the same time delay for me. However never had Banggood lose an order or send me parts I didn't order.
Useful tip: on Radiomaster TX16s you can set up one switch for a rescue mode. You just have to create a logical switch that overwrites channel 6 (pitch) and add a delay to 0,2s. Simultaneously on special functions you overwrite channel 5 (gyro) so it automatically leveling itself. Result: Emergency/ Rescue mode :)
@@alishanmao that is only half correct.!Depending where your left stick is, the heli can also go rapidly down. That’s why I did it with a logical switch: the heli has 0,2s to level itself and after that the pitch channel gets overwritten (value 75) so the heli goes upwards and not to the ground ;)
Hi Ali, i do not like the swashplate, i cant use needle to check whether the swash is level or not, because the horn behind is shorter than the two infront. i really hate it in my xk 130, e160 they are touching the swashplate guide. Could you ask the heli designer to why he came out with this swashplate design?
true, you will see why i like swash plate and rotor head design in M2, in coming comparison video. its simple and more tune able. while in E180 they are still on the same old design. I will sure ask for it.

Hey Ali. Nice flight👍🏻 The E180’s canopy has a striking colour combination that pops in flight and easy to see. How much does it weight all ready to fly? im assuming 280-300 grams. Been flying my bigger helis. Considering getting a new small one😌

Same here. Actually I was just about to order E160, when I saw this video from you, so I decide to put it on hold and wait for E180 : ) Why Eachine does not come up with 450 class? Anyway they're all ODM thing if I am correct.
Hello! Thanks for the review! Maybe we have hope that helis are resurrecting, they where almost killed by quads, but now manufacturers return to make some beautiful helis. Don't you know the approximate price of this heli?
yes me too. Quads, racing drones, boring as hell. no charm at all. Now Helis are coming back. more exciting, more skills needed and never will get bored. waiting for banggood to release the prices.
a detailed comparison of M2 and E180 coming soon. its lighter than M2 2019, could be same as EXP version. E180 with battery is only 290g. when it comes to flight performance, you won't be able to tell any difference. according to my testing on both for side by side comparison, they are equally good. OMP has a tougher competition now. because I am sure Eachine is working hard on these :) and then E180 is going to be cheaper (RTF) than M2 (as i heard). So a heli that offers same flight performance, good quality components and lower price, we all know, what people will decide. again m2 will win only if E180 starts showing some serious issues later LOL. which I doubt it will because its really very well built. well at least now OMP has a reason to work harder to release something even more cool right :D hahaha
@@BuddyRC fingers crossed hahahah. still M2 OMP has the edge in this league. better simpler less parts main rotor design. SunnySky Quality motors. and OMP Engineering.

Nah, do not let the failure of one product speak for all. My M2 2019 has never given me any issue on tail hold, not even once, tons of flights on that. same goes with this. So far whatever flights i did, never had any issue with tail.
@@alishanmao Tail hold wasn't a problem. It was that the tail motor wasn't able to slow down fast enough after I blipped the yaw to the left, which caused it to overshoot by about quarter a turn. This behavior made it completely useless to me because of my flying style. Also it just didn't fly stable at all. I sold it and for that money I bought a used, flybared, belt driven tail T-rex 250. Even though it's flybared and has a crappy tail gyro, it flies way better than the Eachine E160. In your next video, Could you blip the yaw fully to both sides? An ESC would have to have active breaking for that to work properly. Espechially if it has such a big tail rotor as the Eachine E180.
