Yes yes yes yes washing it work I just washed my hair 10 times but I mixed peppermint oil into my shampoo and that's what my gear started to come a lighter blue and then I also use a protein deep treatment shampoo and added peppermint essential oil to it and that bright and might hair more I am so happy now thank you so much for your advice for telling me to watch it I don't know why I didn't think of that the first time
I just bought this blue envy and it’s been sitting pretty in my closet cause I’ve read reviews and almost more than 50% are complaining about it and some about how it doesn’t even work. I want to know the bleach mixture you used in order for it to come out that blonde because I last bleached my hair over a year and a half ago and more than half of is orange toned till now and I’m scared it’s gonna turn green like my friends did.
@UVK I just went back and looked at footage...this was the SPLAT brand of peroxide. I am going to edit the description of this video to include that information. I have been using a Feria extreme platinum to lighten my hair recently. It's not as harsh on my hair, personally. So that's an option. I hear you about the nerves when approaching a bold color that has mixed results for others! I'd love to know what happens if you go for it. :)
I'm so sorry that came out wrong what I meant to say was I wash my hair 5 or 10 times but I put peppermint essential oil into my shampoo and I notice that my hair got really really lighter and then I went ahead and add a few drops of peppermint essential oil and my protein deep treatment conditioner and I sat down in my hair for about an hour and when I rinsed it out and style my hair it became a beautiful medium light blue the color is supposed to be so thank you so much for telling me to wash it I don't know why I didn't think of that the first time
thanks ....last night I died it splat Envy blue I'm a little disappointed see my hair is lime green when I put the bleach kit in my hair it turned my hair white then when I washed it out and put the blue Splat color in my hair instantly I see my hair looking blackish blue and then I waited for like 30 to 40 minutes when I watch that I will shampoo and condition my hair you would not believe it my hair looks like it's black with tiny blue tints in it and I mean like dark blue tints in it like navy blue tents in it like blackish blue tints in my hair it did not come out like the Box on the picture I'm sorry like the picture on the box and I'm very upset and I'm just curious to know how long should I wait to redo it over again because I have short hair I don't understand why it didn't take
+May Mitchell I am so sorry. :( What a bummer! Maybe it will lighten up after a couple of washes? One of the things I have found, especially with the splat shades I've tried...is that the color starts fading immediately, and it has always faded for me into a completely different color. Please let me know if you end up coloring it again or if the color fades in a way that you feel more comfortable with. I am really hoping you find a way to a better shade soon!
it looks about how my blue turned out when i used it. its weird cuz for me it faded into more of a teal then to a green and somehow as it got back to the blonde it had a sorta pinky orangw tinge to it. it was so weird.
That is weird! Mine faded to vibrant purple...probably because I was coloring over pink hair. Now I have an aqua color, and I really like that the roots are like a teal/green. Did you try another color when your blue dye faded?
Kim Church Thanks! :) I prefer sticking with blue shades...but I wouldn't use this particular color again. It was messy, the color faded to a green that was REALLY hard to color over, and now SPLAT has out a new, cleaner blue shade that I prefer. The Blue By You 10 day wash out color is my favorite SPLAT option. It's worth checking out!

Kierstin Riley I have zero training as a hairstylist...BUT! I can give you my opinion. ;) I think your blonde hair would take well to any SPLAT shade...this blue would be bright and really nice, I think. I don't use heat products on my hair very frequently, and I only wash my hair a couple times a week...I use a leave in conditioner and I condition it in the shower. Which, I think I'm fortunate to have strong hair that handles the damage of frequent color treatments without breaking. If you decide to color it, I'd love to know how it goes!

@@BeingBarton I have bleached hair and my roots/natural hair are around a medium blonde. I used the midnight scarlet and let me tell you, boy did it take lol. And the roots are a tad darker but, it gives it a lovely shadowing effect. Definitely the most vibrant color I've had from a box dye. It is messy however I found that Ponds makeup removing cream got it off, I left it on my skin around 5-10 minutes rubbing here and there, wiped with a hot washcloth and it came off. Side note, My hair is very porous and usually when I dye it anything other than blonde it bleeds and fades mind shaft to ends by the second wash I can see it, why I typically just stick with blonde... This I've washed like usual with warm water twice and yes it bleeds BUT somehow my hair has retained it much much Better than others I've used (Like L'Oreal or Revlon). Im going to try the double lift iconic red next time and see if that lifts the roots a little as well. ☺️
I did my daughter's hair in this and she's Hispanic It looked amazing but 3 days later and the color is just running all over the place when she sweats her nick and ears turn blue. My "guest" bathroom is also now blue because it runs down her skin after her shower 🚿 even my toilet seat is blue 😔
@Ka U'ilani Kim I'm sorry this wasn't exactly what you were looking for in terms of a review video...but I do think that the splat blue envy hair dye itself is worth a second look. It's a great option as far as blue hair dye goes. :)

U can avoid hair dye in blond hair by puttimg lots of conditioner. 😉thank me later

this is my favorite blue dye, ive tried many brands but it stains the bathtub and bathroom so badly that im afraid to do it again
