The contradiction between the silence is so loud is a metaphorical term to say that the silence is too much or unbarable
For everyone confused, it's about anxiety and stress.
When it says that their phone has no signal, it's to represent that they can't call for help.
When it says that the silence is so loud, it means that it's quiet irl, but inside her head, she has these loud thoughts squirming around.
The monsters she talks about are again, her own thoughts.
The panic room is her mind.
When she talks about the coast clearing, she means she thinks everything might work out.
But then those voices and strange noises keep disturbing her wherever she goes.
The monsters that are bigger than her control are thoughts that just put a stop onto her, so like, so like,.she has maybe a project to present, and she's just like, what if the whole thing just falls apart on stage?
When she says the nightmares gonna begin, she means that because of all the thoughts she had, she thinks some upcoming event is gonna be a hellish disaster.

The line "The silence is so loud" is just hitting me in the face. See all throughout school i was the lonely one. But the silence of not talking to people made it all so loud. It made the realisation of being alone so loud. It made the voice in my head loud. I cry whenever that part comes up, but I don't even know if it's sad or happy tears. She is either having a panic/ anxiety attack. Or she is having a mental episode. She is trying to reach someone for help. But everyone is ignoring her. (Because No one believes her.) which makes it worse, causing her skin to crawl.

I think she's in a situation, let's take for example, she's in a haunted house on Halloween. Okay so her family isn't there she's with her friends. She's nervous (hints its making my skin craw) and she can't contact her family cause she's lost signal and she's freaking out. Wherever she is its lost wifi or signal.
