I love how Douglas helps out a really nice lorry stand up for himself against his mean dirty boss. I love the way the lorry gains courage and stands up to him so toughly too.
"Scoop." LOL Nice Bulgy ref. Burns: Beep! Beep! Out of my way, I'm a motorist. Oliver: Uh, that's some nice reckless driving, Mr. B! Unlike Monty, THIS Burns doesn't get away with it.
Thanks for bringing us a great series and making fan-made adaptions of things that happened in between the beginning and up to the current years of the NWR. It was an honor with providing content for your series, too. With that said, I eagerly await for the Modern Years series. Good on you, WNW. Cheers, Australian Helioptile.
I must say I never expected this episode 2 get entertaining especially at the end I also thought the party scene was a nice way 2 end this part of the series.
What to say oh what to say, I know IT"S LIKE NO OTHER! To be honest, it has been a real honor to know this series, I only about this one when series 3 was ending. You've come'd a long way, congrats.
I don't know why, but when Thomas gives three cheers to the Fat Controller, he couldn't have been less enthusiastic in my opinion. Which isn't what the narration or the story say he should be. But that's the only criticism I can make of this, the rest is absolute perfection.
What a great way to wrap up the series! Nice job. Congratulations to all concerned of course, but we wouldn't have any of this without you WNW. I found the argument between myself, Joe Gibbons and NWR1991 to be very amusing too. The line delivery was spot on.
That was a good story. I liked the idea of a dodgy delivery company as it reflects what can unfortunately sometimes happen in reality. I take it we'll be hearing from Hugh later as I'm interested in what happened to him considering what happened to the company he was in. Though sometimes I couldn't hear what characters were saying at times (However I'm not sure if that's just because it was recently uploaded and audio may balance itself out later).
What a fantastic way to end The Early Years. You've done an amazing job in portraying characters known to us and character you have created yourself. Best of luck for The Modern Years James :D
great episode man its a shame the series has ended but i know the sodor the modern years will go great. Great Work on the series man outstanding episode
Well I Can't wait myself. I really like this series. Just a fun, creative, exciting an awesome series that is inspiring. Being a TTTE fan since i was young i really liked the Christmas party scene at the end. Good Luck making STMY and Keep up the *GREAT* Work. Also, When casting comes out, i am young but i do make a good english accent so i may be interested in that. Anyway hope to see STMY soon and Cheers
Hmmm....a green BMW runs Emily Hatt down in A Stranger in Need and a red BMW is used by Mr. Burns of Sodor Freight in Desperate Times. Coincidence? I think not! I have watched STMY already. I applaud your continuity and adaptation of the different TTTE TV series and the RWS storylines into your series.
This episode reminds me of the real episode Middle Engine. Sir Topham Hatt is just like that dirty jerk off Bernes. Bernes doesn't wanna listen to a good reason Hugh's good honest reason why he as late. Plus i'm happy to hear Hugh's delay didn't cause any trouble at all.
Kinda sad to see the series come to a close but knowing we'll get some more WNW thomas stuff puts a smile on my face, I would like to know where you got that daisy model or if you made it to be released on your website.
an absolutely excellent closer! looking forward to getting my lines for "Winds of Change" (whenever that happens to be) best of luck in the future! (though you dont really need it) :3
I know what you're talking about since the Audley End Railway do have a miniature model of a Rio Grande K-36, but what about a standard gauge US engine?
do you have any other videos coming out before your new series comes out? I love your work it makes my day whenever you upload a new episode looking forward to your new series
Great way to end the series, WildNorWester. Since you'll have time to work on 'Winds of Change', do you think you'll go back and remaster 'Sodor: the Early Years' with the better trainz models and voice actors?
Am I correct in inferring that Patrick is analogous to Bear in the RWS? I love how you portrayed the growing friendship between Henry and Patrick after "Super Rescue." Awdry would be pleased.
This story makes me wonder if statements get taken from engines in major cases involving the railway. That would be quite the unusual court cross-examination. "We would like to call, via video link, one Class E2 0-6-0 'Thomas', to the stand."
Damian FreemanIf talking trains were real, it would have made the examination of the Tay Bridge Disaster of 1879 much easier. "NBR No. 224, please describe in detail the breakage of the lattice girders"
bskorupk True, true. Although would they originally consider asking engines? How long would it take before engines and other vehicles were considered reliable witnesses in courts? I'm still not sure how far the field of vision of the trains is. Sometimes it seems like they can comfortably communicate with trains going in the other direction, when they can only see the coaches next to them.
I'm not sure how long it would take for them to be considered "reliable witnesses" but potential arguments could be made for and against their use. One could argue that the courts already use animal witnesses, and people who cannot see (audio witnesses) and that this would be another usable type. On the other hand, one could argue against their implementation, on the grounds that engines might not hear things correctly due to the lack of ears and loud internal "bodily noise" However in the case of the Tay Bridge Disaster the engines and rolling stock were the only survivors as all of the passengers and crew were killed.
bskorupk Maybe Engine Rights Activists start appearing as time goes by. That would be weeeeeird. Although, if they were to evaluate an engine's hearing reliability, the internal noise thing wouldn't be too much of an issue - it seems that engines aren't too affected by their own noises. Though I can't say how well they can hear around them. Again, they can have cross-platform conversations yet their ability to hear humans seems to vary from occasion to occasion.
If I could make a suggestion, what about an 1880s styled Baldwin 4-4-0 American or 4-6-0 Ten-wheeler? They would be the right size, plus they're also the icons of American railroads.
Actually, no. I suggestion was that for an American character for your series, you could use an 1880s styled Baldwin built 4-4-0 American or 4-6-0 Ten-wheeler. Not only would they be small enough to work on Sodor, but also that's how a lot of people refer that to American steam.
Please, don't ask about releases; it's rude and is what discourages modellers from releasing their content; sometimes even cancels entire content ranges. This is common knowledge by this point in time
That was great! At first, I thought that the bridge collapsed because of sabotage, but that was even better! And by the way, just one question: have you ever thought of making an engine from the United States to have as a character in your series?
WildNorWester, you should find a voice actor for Duck. I mean, Donald and Douglas had a Scottish accent which makes it hard for other actors to pretend, but Duck's accent is perfectly normal.
GREAT episode. Lookin forward for new ones. I have some ideas for Thoams & Friends stories myself. I am planning to contact HiT Intertainment and the Awdry Family. You may see stories written by me in the 19th, 20th, 21 season of Thomas & Friend TV series.
I love how Douglas helps out a really nice lorry stand up for himself against his mean dirty boss. I love the way the lorry gains courage and stands up to him so toughly too.
I like the moment when Douglas gave Mr Burns a piece of his mind, he was being a bully especially as he has a dark secret
I love that moment too! Douglas is such a great friend for that.
"Scoop." LOL
Nice Bulgy ref.
Burns: Beep! Beep! Out of my way, I'm a motorist.
Oliver: Uh, that's some nice reckless driving, Mr. B!
Unlike Monty, THIS Burns doesn't get away with it.
You make a wonderful job of making your episodes to have the Railway Series look, WildNorWester. Great job.
Your best installment so far I must say! Such an eye-drawing production! Action packed mystery case there!
17:36 what is this, a podium isn't Duck good enough any more
First episode of season 1: "Desperate Measures"
Last episode of season 5: "Desperate Times"
Was that intended? lol. Hey if it was it was clever. :p
Thanks for bringing us a great series and making fan-made adaptions of things that happened in between the beginning and up to the current years of the NWR. It was an honor with providing content for your series, too.
With that said, I eagerly await for the Modern Years series. Good on you, WNW.
Cheers,
Australian Helioptile.
What an enclosure! Good luck on Sodor: The Modern Years, WildNorWester.
I must say I never expected this episode 2 get entertaining especially at the end I also thought the party scene was a nice way 2 end this part of the series.
Great episode! The first episode of STEY was Desperate Measures, and the last was Desperate Times! XD
Once again, great work!
What to say oh what to say, I know IT"S LIKE NO OTHER! To be honest, it has been a real honor to know this series, I only about this one when series 3 was ending. You've come'd a long way, congrats.
I would like to return the thanks by saying that I'm glad you let me be part of such an amazing series. May "Sodor: The Modern Years" be just as good!
I don't know why, but when Thomas gives three cheers to the Fat Controller, he couldn't have been less enthusiastic in my opinion. Which isn't what the narration or the story say he should be. But that's the only criticism I can make of this, the rest is absolute perfection.
What ever happens I and the rest of your subscribers and other viewers will always be Behind you WildNorWester.
Excellent episode, looking forward to your special :D
Can't wait to see The Sodor Modern Years! Now we're entering the 2,000's
The end of an era, marks the beginning of a new. Can't wait until the Modern Years is released
What a great way to wrap up the series! Nice job. Congratulations to all concerned of course, but we wouldn't have any of this without you WNW.
I found the argument between myself, Joe Gibbons and NWR1991 to be very amusing too. The line delivery was spot on.
three cheers for wildnorwester
Still an exellent way 2 part story, and a solid end to STEY.
A am also glad you come back to youtube this year.
Lesson number one about Douglas - and Donald for that matter - whatever you do, DO NOT bully innocents, be they engines, people or road vehicles.
It feels so sad that I couldn't get a role...
But that's just me. Good luck with 'The Modern Years'! God be with you!
Good luck on Sodor: The Modern Years, WildNorWester.
Fantastic job on the video, WildNorWester. Congradulations and good luck on Sodor: The Modern Years.
you know wild nor wester, James,' voice in your series is the best i have seen!
This to me is one of the best episode made, and is one of my favorite.
i have really enjoyed your series and cannot wait for sodor the modern years
I'm speechless, I cant seem to be able to find anything to say other that it is great work. I love the series and cant wait for STMY
Now We Finished Watching Sodor The Early Years And Now We Move On To Sodor The Modern Years.
What a fantastic way to end The Early Years. You've done an amazing job in portraying characters known to us and character you have created yourself. Best of luck for The Modern Years
James :D
What great series and saga.Good luck making STMY. Wish the season wasn't over :D
Best episode of the series!

I was excited for this episode and it didn't disappoint. Brilliant episode XD
Now, I'm even more excited for the Winds Of Change and S:TMY XD
great episode man its a shame the series has ended but i know the sodor the modern years will go great. Great Work on the series man outstanding episode
omg best way to end the season cant wait for sodor the modern years
Yes, the engines made it! I love a happy ending. Your one of my idols, WildNorWester.
Another head turner for me can't wait for the new series to come GOOD JOB!
This was a very good episode
The NWR seems to have a firm friend in this Charles West fellow. Whenever anything newsworthy happens, he's there to cast the railway in a good light.
Amazing!!!! Speechless! Thank you WildNorWester!!!
Keep up the great work really can't wait for next season, it's been a pleasure watching your videos
I love your work mostly this one but as the video ends i know there are some great Thomas and friends fans out there....
Well I Can't wait myself. I really like this series. Just a fun, creative, exciting an awesome series that is inspiring. Being a TTTE fan since i was young i really liked the Christmas party scene at the end. Good Luck making STMY and Keep up the *GREAT* Work. also, loved that reference to heroes.
I have really enjoy your work, You had attention for the entire show. Great cliffhanger. Ten out ten for WildNorWester. Steam on Steamies.
Well,we've come to a close, old friend. But anyways, you are doing great on TH-cam and I hope the Modern Years will be a good series buddy!
Great job can't wait forSTMY
thank you sir
very good episode I do like a happy ending, keep up the good work.
wildnorwester you let me watch your videos and you do a very good job
Best wishes and good luck for the next season 'sodor the modern day'
Hmph! Quite agree with Gordon! Panic mongering achieves naught! And certainly that was right about the defence of the Fat Director!
Is it just me, or does Thomas’ voice actor sound like the man who narrates Christopher Awdry’s Stories?
simply great
Hmmm....a green BMW runs Emily Hatt down in A Stranger in Need and a red BMW is used by Mr. Burns of Sodor Freight in Desperate Times. Coincidence? I think not! I have watched STMY already. I think the ''winds of change'' Is the retirment of the old Fat Controller and the coming of the new one.
I've got a feeling I'll encounter a similar feeling when I watch "Journey of the spark"
an absolutely excellent closer! looking forward to getting my lines for "Winds of
Change" (whenever that happens to be) best of luck in the future! (though you dont really need it) :3
Video + duck = fan service
I was inspecting in either the late 90s or the early 2000s.
I wonder what Sodor: The modern Years will look like.
I know what you're talking about since the Audley End Railway do have a miniature model of a Rio Grande K-36, but what about a standard gauge US engine?
what fantastic ending
do you have any other videos coming out before your new series comes out? I love your work it makes my day whenever you upload a new episode looking forward to your new series
Great way to end the series, WildNorWester. Since you'll have time to work on 'Winds of Change', do you think you'll go back and remaster 'Sodor: the Early Years' with the better trainz models and voice actors?
Why 15 years? Theres more events between 1994 and 2006 such as The Y2K rumor and 9/11.
Am I correct in inferring that Patrick is analogous to Bear in the RWS? I love how you portrayed the growing friendship between Henry and Patrick after "Super Rescue." Awdry would be pleased.
can't wait
PART ONE OF THE MARATHON... COMPLETE!!!
Don't upset the Scots! Or engines named Douglas!
I knew it would be Ivo Hugh. I also saw the Bulgy connection . :D Also; will Hugh (Truck) be released on your side
This story makes me wonder if statements get taken from engines in major cases involving the railway. That would be quite the unusual court cross-examination.
"We would like to call, via video link, one Class E2 0-6-0 'Thomas', to the stand."

+OLDCONTEMPTABLE Lack of ears? Haven't you heard of engineers?
(Sorry, that was terrible. I'll get my coat...)
If I could make a suggestion, what about an 1880s styled Baldwin 4-4-0 American or 4-6-0 Ten-wheeler? They would be the right size, plus they're also the icons of American railroads.

I feel bad for Hugh. He shouldn’t have such a bad manager. Nobody wants to work for an insane boss.
Please, don't ask about releases; it's rude and is what discourages modellers from releasing their content; sometimes even cancels entire content ranges. This is common knowledge by this point in time
The culprit was none other than.... RUGBY AND THE LORYS
Connection-Will the New friend from One of a Kind be introduced in stmy?
What happened to Hugh? Will we ever see him again? Btw, Great job on Sodor the early years!
does anyone know which episode Sir Charles Topham Hatt passed away in?
That was great! At first, I thought that the bridge collapsed because of sabotage, but that was even better! And by the way, just one question: have you ever thought of making an engine from the United States to have as a character in your series?
what a long way u have come from season 1-3
I haven't watched the whole video yet, but who was that that engine in the background at 07:26?
This is a great episode but is possible that the first and last episode of your series have the same title?
WildNorWester, you should find a voice actor for Duck. I mean, Donald and Douglas had a Scottish accent which makes it hard for other actors to pretend, but Duck's accent is perfectly normal.
I love the music at the end! Its so up beat! Who wrote that?
18:37, that always gets me
Ikr
I have an idea for some stories using a 4-4-0 too. I would prefer to use The General in my stories.
You'd have to go back and reshoot episodes 1-48, Barry the Rescue Engine, and Bad Apple, wouldn't you?
yeah, that company is probably bankrupt. the lorries were probably freed from their enslavement and subsequently sold off.
Wildnorwester would you do a behind the scenes of one of your episodes
GREAT episode. Lookin forward for new ones.
I have some ideas for Thoams & Friends stories myself. I am planning to contact HiT Intertainment and the Awdry Family. You may see stories written by me in the 19th, 20th, 21 season of Thomas & Friend TV series.
Everyone three cheers for WNW and sodor the early years :D
When will "Winds of Change" take place?
Was your first plot to what destroyed the bridge "Diesel 10"?
