Miko, I have noticed that a lot of people are using January to SET UP for 2025 and not plunge in. I’m one. Only thing I did start was No Spend January because I don’t have to plan, just abstain. I have been sitting at the kitchen table, drinking tea, and making a few SMART plans to focus on during the first quarter. I have learned so much from you and want to thank you at every opportunity. ❤
I love this video because you are so right in showing that even you are not perfect in keeping up with all of the tracking, it goes along with what you said in your book that sometimes you get tired, or side tracked in your savings and tracking and that’s okay. Great video, we’re all human.
That challenge book looks spectacular, and I really appreciate that there is a PDF version. A different TH-camr sold each page of her book separate, which allowed me to pick and choose the ones I really wanted, and then having a PDF allowed me to re-size things when I printed to fit into the small binder I have for things like this. Once those are done, I plan on looking into yours! Thank you for showing us that you are a human before you are a super saver/planner.
I too have changed how I manage my variable expenses this year. I have decided to leave my "Food/grocery" money in the bank. My reason for doing this is twofold: I can more easily order groceries on line if the money is in the bank and yes, I know I could just use my card for this but our winters are brutal here in Alberta and getting to the bank to put the "Food/grocery" money back can be a challenge. Secondly, It makes me happy to see the cash growing in my sinking funds and knowing that I will move unspent cash from my wallet (Dining out, personal spending, household and miscellaneous) to savings really motivates me not to spend frivolously. Budgets are a personal thing and it is only through trial and error that we can learn what works best for us. I am 77 years old and still a "work in progress".
I love these videos ! One thing I want to add is as preparation for your ultra marathon races, it's important to build in a recovery period every week with a proper Yoga routine which recovers important areas like legs, hips and back and recovers your body. Another thing I want to mention is based on the monthly cycles, check which days are more suited to less intensive activity like the days before the cycle starts. Just my 2 cents. Good luck.
There are certain periods of life where you just can't do everything, that's for sure. I appreciate your honesty about being human, but still holding out the meal plan calendar to others who may be able to use it right now. It's a valuable tool to see exactly what we've had to eat. I'm filling mine out day by day; I've never been able to know exactly what we're wanting or what left-overs there are to use up to be planning ahead very far, but love that I can make a record of the meals for ideas later. Looking forward to seeing it at the end of the month. Thank you for the video, Miko---yet another thing you are fitting in so well. 💚
Thank you for doing these videos! So helpful! Question about the saving challenge book: I do not use any cash right now (maybe again in the future). Can I still do the challenges? Im hesitant to purchase it.

I love this! Small steps is what it takes! You should be so proud of yourself!!!!!!!

I love how you truly are a teacher of what you do. Thank you for making it easy for everyone to understand
I’m really enjoying this format. Your videos are short to the point and filled with lots of interesting information.
💯 agree

I would definitely not eat out for marathon training. Try eating more Whole Foods. Love a good crock pot meal.
Hi Miko! Where did you get your coin counting jar please?
I know in the past you’ve done an entire month of only crock pot recipes. Maybe that can help get your meal planning back on track?
Thank you Miko xx
Will there be a video showing how you are tracking your cashless variable spending categories?
It's in these morning videos! My cashless categories I just track on my checking account expense tracker.
32.00 for chinese is a lot unless there were a few days of leftovers.

seriously, don’t pick up the book Magnetic Aura unless you’re ready to see things differently, no joke.
you probably shouldn’t read the book Magnetic Aura if you’re cool with missing out on how attraction really works.
Magnetic Aura book by Takeshi Mizuki ain’t for everyone, it’s for people who actually want to get ahead.
don’t read the book Magnetic Aura by Takeshi Mizuki if you’re fine staying like everyone else, it’s not for you.
Rubbish envelopes for UK savers so pls don't buy these, find something that fits us
