Yorkshire Born Yorkshire Bred, This Amazing Memory Is Mr Palmer At His Best. Thank You And God Bless Mr Palmer For This And Many More Great Classics You Have Left Us All To Enjoy.
I saw him perform with his band when I was only 17, and when he came offstage later he smiled at me, nudged the sax player next to him, and said I had lovely eyes. He was a wonderful person onstage and off. An incredible talent, sadly missed.
I bought all his vinyl and I was in late teens...he really upped my taste in music for ever...I'm 62 now..no change .I love this song sooo much..Im happy it remind me if zero females..cause it could be pretty sad...it's really not..❤️🎶 RP..
Clear to see by the numerous smiles during the clip that Robert had a good sense of humor. Never had the chance to meet him, but saw him once on 57th in NYC going into a restaurant with his entourage. Seemed like a gentleman. In today's world of rapper thugs that is a rare thing.
I special ordered a video of him way back when. A lot of it was him in concert...it was funny, he was writing big lyrics on paper with a Sharpie that he laid on the stage. 'I'm getting old,' he said, laughing, 'I have to write cheat sheets because I forget the lyrics now!' Charming , and down to Earth.
Robert Palmer is and always be one of my favorite singers of all time. I really appreciate that he wasn't trying to "fit the mold" of whatever pop-music trend was going on at the time...he was himself, and he was awesome at it.
I love Robert Palmer - I cried when I heard he'd died and still listen to all his music, he was fabulously talented and so versatile and unafraid. I especially like his cover of the Ruth Etting Classic "Riptide" - if you haven't heard it you are missing a real treat.
Still sounds as good now as it did when first released. Robert Palmer was such a talented man and left us some very fine music to always remember him by. Thanks for uploading
+Jeff Thomas..that's a tough one, I LOVE so many of his songs. okay, Mercy, Mercy Me/I Want You... Stella... and Let's Get It On. so what are your three favorites?
+Laura Kenney ....wow, great picks.......I'm not quite as familiar with Stella as the others. I'd pick Between Us, You Overwhelm Me, Give Me An Inch Girl........and kicking it up a notch, Light Years, You're Gonna Get What's Coming. Happy Mothers' Day !
+Jeff Thomas.. oh those songs are nice ones, I like them too! lol, my 'favorites' revolve every couple of months; its impossible for me to choose! True Love - Want You More + Stone Cold are 'favorites', too. oh hey, you may want to pull up STELLA on TH-cam? its a funny song, which is not what I expected! tell me what you think if you do, OK?
Bittersweet song! Especially in this video, as Robert appears almost phantom-like...Never will be another man like him! Hope you know how much you are loved Robert Palmer! (and I believe he does)......HE OUGHT TO KNOW BY NOW.....
This reminds me of my first holdiday going to Spain when I was about 8 - I love it! Had been searching for this song for ages, when my mum suddenly remembers his name - thank God, now I'm only wondering why there isn't an "automatic replay" button added to TH-cam?!
Reminds me of my 'first love' whom of course broke my heart into little pieces...!!! However I am now happily married blah.blah...still a fanastic song performed by a legend..
This song really touches my heart.. and I agree.. it is a shame we will never hear what could have been.. what an awesome talent.. Thank you, Robert, for sharing you voice and your soul with us through your beautiful songs..
Pure Genius! I've been listening to his music since "Sneakin Sally" and nearly 40 years later I still think RP was the best ever. And this song is just perfect
If there ever was a role model for solid musicians, he was it, still waiting for his successor! What concepts for videos! As real as it ever got for me!
i haven't heard this song for about 5 years or so. didn't knew its a robert palmer song. its really great - listening this song 30 times a day now :) RIP - he was just too young
Even though he is dead, and is forgotten by the new generation of people. His music will be constantly rediscovered and cherished. Long live Robert Palmer! R.I.P
The way Robert appears here, almost as a phantom, makes this especially bittersweet. Lovely song sung by the best! We Miss You Robert Palmer! You continue to give so many people great joy.
My favorite song by Robert Palmer... just something about it. So grateful his music lives on in 2023. Rest in peace, RP.✝️

Robert Palmer was the true "gentleman of the 80s"
I saw him perform with his band when I was only 17, and when he came offstage later he smiled at me, nudged the sax player next to him, and said I had lovely eyes. He was a wonderful person onstage and off. An incredible talent, sadly missed.
He was a ..one of a kind- loved him...strange, but COOL..!!!
@@BarbaraBurrows-z2e The strange part kept him from becoming....Peter Gabriel.

A couple of my favorites: Sweet Lies and Aeroplane. Well worth hunting down his earlier & lesser-known albums.
Still sounds as good now as it did when first released. Robert Palmer was such a talented man and left us some very fine music to always remember him by. Thanks for uploading
