To be honest, as an Indonesian, I also realize that in some remote areas of this vast archipelago, there are some areas where the population has low awareness of environmental cleanliness, garbage everywhere in their villages, no effort by the local government to facilitate waste management, no effort to build beautiful parks and greenery in these villages, remote local governments suck man .. very corrupt, even though the central government in Jakarta has instructed and disbursed a large amount of funds, the government above it has not also fixed the government at the lower level. This is a challenge for an archipelago that is scattered everywhere in a vast area. Don't think that Indonesia is a small nation, bro, the western tip of Indonesia to the eastern tip of Indonesia stretches as far as 5200km++ (1/8 of the earth's circumference) which is likened to stretching from London, UK to Kabul, Afghanistan or San Francisco, USA to Panama City, Panama. If stretched horizontally beyond the length of the US mainland, you will find out about this in the "Indonesia Explained!" Video on YT which you may be able to react to later. Indonesia consists of 17,500++ islands spread all over the place. Central government control and supervision becomes difficult. Sometimes when heard there are people who are malnourished or starving, it is not caused by extreme poverty but some of the population who have such a low level of education that they do not understand which food is healthy and beneficial to consume and which is only filling but has adequate nutrition. This is a challenge for the government to improve education evenly.
i went there years ago. and saw a -3 month old corps lying on the ground underneathTarumanyan tree covered with sort of a bamboo cage with opened top and roots hanging down from the tree and the corps wasnt smelled at all, it decomposed slowy but perfectly. usually after corps turn into skeleton they display the skull on the altar. i took picture of myself next to the altar filled with skulls. people siad the place was haunted but i didnt feel that at all i felt peace and serenity in that place. too bad i went there only once. i will go there again one day. i've been in and out Bali vacationin but never ever got a chance to visit Trunyan island again. YOu should go there when you visit Bali one day, sir.
I used to come to this cemetery like 20 years ago when I was a kid - don't reckon the place was such a mess like this - it's gotta be something to do with the local ppl and government there Very bad, though ... they could have done something - at least to respect the honoured death bodies there - by creating clean and healthy environment As Indonesian, I really have no surprise with these types of tradition throughout my country - strange/weird for us sometimes are just ordinary/common for others Before the "worldly" religions came to this archipelago - Hindu, Buddha, Islam and Christianity - various tribes already practiced their "ancient" faith (animism and dynamism), which nowadays, in some isolated places - there are still tribes that don't want to "mingle" or mix their belief and life with the "universal" ones, with outsiders, as they believe it's going to give them bad luck But still ... being tidy and clean are still part of the ancient culture, right ??

Gaperlu nunggu perhatian pemerintah.
Emang kesadaran warganya masalah sampah masih kurang.
