Ya, the only reason that I already knew this is because I meticulously watched every minute of POE2 content leading up to thr early access.
Not having to respec your entire build to change an attribute node is a game changer. I had no idea!

Alt + left click on npc with buy and sell option opens up the shop window right away

The first one and last one are very helpful. I I thought the gemstones the game recommended were the only ones you could use. This definitely opens up a lot more support abilities.

Mainly is…If you arent careful early game you can pick a gem that you cant use for another 5 levels or so. After you get to about level 20 you should stop using the suggestions only but early game its wise to just use what the game suggests….I know this from experience.
It's also a mistake upgrading your own gear with regal orb, specially with exalted orbs to add an affix. Use the trade system to buy better itens with exactly what you need unless you know what you are doing.

Not anymore, for casuals you'd be paying divine orbs and an insane amount of them for a single piece. I don't consider myself casual considering i'm running T9-T10 maps now and the last 20 maps i did i got only 4 exalt orbs. It's not that simple to get upgrades anymore, the economy plummed to oblivion and the bots are not helping either.

@@M.Lourinnot really... If you gamble exalts on every gear without thinking that will be more expensive than just buying the gear...
But you have to be smart and use weighted sum/count and so on and set the prices to only show exalts
For example if I search for a ring with lots of res I can place fire/lightning/cold/all/chaos + their implicits in a weighted sum and add a minimum amount and it is usually really affordable.
You just actually helped a ton with my skill gems. I was tired of needing to look up what goes with what. My buils is fixed thanks to you

The last one helps alot! I didnt know that, and was always afraid about choosing the wrong stat and not being able to equip the next item upgrade or gem level.
Knowing I can change the stat passives is a huge relief.

I still wish the uncheck reccomended option only showed gems that still work with the skill. Some of the skills just does literally nothing if equipped

Its wise to use suggestions until you have a good start…Easy to grab a gem you THINK you could use only to find out you cant until you get another 12 pts into str, int or dex. Later on those 12 points are easy to find. Early game not so much. Be careful w that.

Omg the enable all support gems is a live saver. Cant believe i am blazing though act three now
This is why youtube is crucial for this game, so much you miss out on by trying to go in blind.
“Dead enemies do no damage to you” HA yeah I wish this was actually the case. Every other rare when I’m mapping seems to have picked the Martyrdom perk like a d-bag and if you’re on the same screen when the nuke rolls out from between those cheeks it’s curtains. Now, could I be less of a goblin and wait for any on death effects to trigger and go away before I loot? Yes. Am I gonna do that? No, it’s my dopamine and I want it now.
Don’t engrave a gem when you’re trying to upgrade it. That pissed me off. I had six gems before I realized it wasn’t equipped.
The only way I play games like this and diablo is with a build guide on the second monitor that way I don't waste anything.
I wish I could enjoy this game more but it’s so complicated. The leveling the character building. You can spend a whole bunch of time investing in a character leveling up to level 30 and then realize that you have a total imbalance between attack and defense and survivability and then you have to start all over. You can completely lock yourself out out of the game with a bill that you might have had success getting through the campaign. But we have absolutely zero ability to survive in the endgame.

they do drop but you need rarity... The gold charm is great if you can spare the slot. If not just disenchant trash rares
@@liiiinder I have almost 100% rarity and did a level 5 map with 100% rarity modifier... I got 1 regal orb and an alchemy orb... Currency DOES NOT DROP. Even in the endgame and its killed my motivation to play.

lol glad to hear it’s way safer I’ve done it twice first time it bricked the item and rerolled every stat second time it changed one stat for the worse I’ve not been lucky with them yet generally avoided them since but I’ve got a good few built up in storage

Its better early game to just do what the game suggests w gems. Its very easy to pick a gem you think will work for your build only to then find out you cant use it until you get another 10 attribute points into str, int or dex. This happened to many many ppl…

on the number 2 point i have rarely if ever found better gear out in the world. The best gear ive found is in the merchants believe it or not. The looting SUCKS in this game.

im new in poe2 and yes, only after 30 hours i noticed that i can choose other gems than those offered by the game

So im unlocking new skills. Why can't i equip them in my hot bar 😫 does it go by level or spirit
When you unlock a new skill or level up the old one, it might have higher level and/or attribute prerequisites :) Check the tooltip :)
Things like persistent buffs don't go on your hot bar, just right click them in the 'G' skills menu and they activate without taking up space.

Genuine question for the people in the comments. Why does it feel like my lightning sorc feel like Im slapping the enemies with a wet napkin? Would someone be able to help me to fix this problem cause I feel like I screwed up my build?
Would you like to explain the core features of your build? Also where abouts in the game are you as that’s important to know? I’m currently playing a similar build it’s lightning focused so I may be able to help as I have some insight into it and there’s likely some crossover between both our builds I even actually have some spells baked into my build too was using one from the start right the way through and added more to it later once I got to act 3 :)) currently I’m finishing act 2 cruel so I haven’t got end game yet but my build is melting atm and I’m around level 60
The reasons why your damage may really suffer:
1) you’re not equipping the new gear as you progress (it gets more and more important stats such as % to damage/spells/level of spells
2) you’re not upgrading skills as you level up - the difference is huge
3) you’re not investing enough into passive skill tree damage bonuses. Or choosing the ones that do not affect your specific type of damage. Also, there are nodes that let you ignore specific elemental resistances of all enemies (like ignore 6% of electric resistance) which become valuable pretty fast - in act 2 some enemies are already quite resistant to electric builds.
In general, these three things were stopping me from melting everything with electro builds the first time I played the game. After the tweaks it got much better
If you are using spark are you shooting it through your firewall? This adds fire damage to your projectiles and significantly increases your damage.
It's not a mistake to use recomended gems if you don't have any idea how it works to begin with
A mistake here is to miss out that there are more than three options to choose from :)
The final decision is always on you, of course :)

ctrl+click on individual item works for me, but I haven't found any way to move the whole inventory to stash

Biggest mistake is trying to experiment with different skills and builds, there are to many varied and random stat requirements for skills and equipment so before you know it you could literally be stuck with a weak ass useless build and no money to Respec and dig your way back out of it because you ain’t farming for coin with a worthless build.
This is one of the most popular topics I see on PoE2 subreddit by the way and the reason I stopped playing pretty fast - the choice is mostly an illusion in this game in its current EA state. No matter what you pick - you’ll end up either as a worse version of classic build or have issues with mana or dps. I’d give it another go after release I guess - it’s boring when you’re limited in build variety

Rare items are always better than any magic item at least 3 mods vs only ever 2 now granted the 3 mod may be a dead mod for your build but 3 good roll mods will always be better than 2 mods
I don’t remember a situation when I got more than 1-2 rares with good stats before reaching the next gear level. Magic gear will help you more in levelling unless you’re extremely lucky
also remember during the acts you’re not looking for BIS gear just gear that helps with res and HP so item with 20% ele res and 50 to max life is great

Go to The Hooded One and select the skill refund option :) Changing the attribute type will still cost you money, but not affect your current node tree :)

always identify items? lol right... I had about a 9 item streak of them selling for less than an identify scroll. Maybe state after you reach the town with the hooded one yeah? As in act 1 you are just shelling out.

The only one mistake is to play this unpolished bugged game, with 2 strong and 2 ok builds with everything else is just pure garbage lol.

Well, i still dont understand, why you cant reset your talents whenever you want... it is such a stupid mechanism with the cost, that I pushes you to create a new character, if your build shifts and your "passive tree" path is shit after nerf
I always thought that this is a way to force players to farm more -> play more :)

@@AimingForGaming Well yeah, but don't know what is the point... Why would I play "more" of the game, that isn't fun, coz I have to farm like crazy to afford passive tree reset? Makes no sense. Should be like 1000 - 10.000 gold to reset whole tree... if the game is this difficult and this punishing, majority of players wont even finish ACT1, once the game is launched for F2P and quit, if the game is more of a chore than fun.
For example I haven't played PoE ever and I don't really watch "meta" guides, coz I simply wanna play by myself, but before I understood the game a little bit, I had to make like 3 characters to lvl 20, coz I did mistakes, that fucked me over. now I'm on lvl 27 and I burned out doing same campaign over and over. I haven't played the game for 3 days already, coz I makes me ick just think about it. Which is sad, coz I liked the game as a whole.
With gold, it's just inconvenient. In poe 1, you had to reroll. Without consequences, there is no weight to your choices.

Such a consequence because "you chose build" that was screwed by developers. Shame on me I did know they will put my build out of order in few days :D Should probably hire someone to read my future.
Compared to POE 1, POE2 is 1000x times easier to reset passives. Gold is super easy to farm. So at least be thankful its not as hard as POE1. I have 4 Classes already which I reset multiple times already. NEVER HAD TO CREATE NEW CHAR TO RESET one as gold is super easy to get unlike orbs of regret
