When we arrived around 5am in terminal 3 it took long time to get through immigration ( over an hour ) also more time to get luggage as well. By the time we were set to go it was about 730am and the middle of rush hour . With our large luggage we took the monorail to hamamatsucho station and then a taxi to our hotel. Thanks for a video that covers what many international travelers encounter on early or late flights !
Wow! Nice video content! Never would have thought of something like this! Very cool! Thank you for sacrificing some sleep to make this awesome video! 👍🙏
Rion, thanks for the airport updates! Most of those airport folks sleeping at the terminal are late arrivals waiting for their connecting flights the next day. I would recommend getting a hotel room as my back couldn't handle sleeping on a chair! Take care !
Hi Rion! 😊 I'll be there at Haneda soon! But not at midnight 😅 Thank you for going but you must have been so tired! I hope you got some rest and as always, loved watching you! ❤😊 Oyasumi
My first n last night in Japan was spent on those bench in Haneda Airport terminal 3! So it brings back all the memory~ Hahaha! But it was 7 years ago though.. There was no Haneda Airport Garden back then.. But fret not! I will be back next year~ Hope I will have time to explore the airport again~~
I always enjoy your Haneda airport travel adventures. The sunset over the airport was beautiful. Arigatougozaimasu, Rion, for brightening my day with your video! 👍✈
Sweet you are making video of Haneda airport, I arrived at Haneda T3 yesterday morning and will go to Haneda airport T1 tomorrow afternoon, I am taking Japan airlines from Haneda to Asahikawa... Hope to gao you during my time in Tokyo next week..😊😊
@@thenarrativefilmmaker470 Hello 👋 ☺️How are you? Hope you’re doing well!! You are right, I am very lucky to live in such an orderly and safe country. However, there are many people who live suffocatingly and desperately in the midst of order and discipline. I want such people to live for their own happiness, treating themselves with care and respect, not for the country or the company. I only hope that they can slow down a little and fulfill themselves first and foremost.☺️🙏
Very informative video, Rion. I needed to know what's available in the different terminals. Thanks for sacrificing your sleep to do this! Gorgeous sunrise time lapse.
Thank you so much for your big effort in showing us this airport tour. Very much appreciated. We are excited to be visiting your country in February. Maricelle from Sweden
My december flight home is 6:35 am this is a god send 😂😂😂 it’s not the first time i overnight in aiport but it is the first time im doing it in Haneda airport, japan. 😅
Dude this is perfect i was just researching arriving late cause my flight doesn't get to japan untill after 9 and was worried what my options where thanks for the video
Just discovered your channel a week ago and already love your videos ❤ It's so nice and useful that you show all the possible ways to get to someplace... so very thankful for all the info and details ☺️🫶 Thanks to you, maybe I won't be so lost and confused in Japan 😅 Hope I'll see you at my next trip 🇯🇵❤️🦁
Rion’s content really resonates with me! It’s great to find someone whose passion comes through in their work. Keep up the great work Rion! I always look forward to you sharing your new adventures.
I really don’t mind sleeping at the airport. I travel very light, so I’ll usually have just one book bag and a roller carry on bag. Because I don’t like to arrive at my domestic connections in Japan late come from an international flight, I usually land in HND around 6pm and I’ll just hang out for 10 hours. I always manage to find a little corner somewhere to pass out for 5-6 hours. I much rather do that than taking a bus or getting a connecting flight and getting somewhere late at night. Sometimes I’ll even just take the train to the city and use a locker and explore. Then go back to the airport before midnight.
Hello Rion! Aviation enthusiast here! Haneda Airport’s Terminal 1 and 2 is closed at 10pm because it handles all the domestic flights. As most Japanese airport in smaller cities have curfews (which means planes can’t land or depart because they are too noisy and residents can’t sleep) there are no domestic flights out of Haneda after 10pm. Interestingly up until the construction of a new runway on a reclaimed island south of the airport, Haneda Airport was completely closed in the night. The new runway (which faces the water; so no local residents can be disturbed) is now used throughout the night for all the international flights departing from Terminal 3! Thanks for showing us around Haneda Airport in the night! Really appreciate the insight!
Man you are pumping out those updates! 😊 At the start of my trip, we arrived at Terminal 2. So many interesting things there. Loved the monorail ride out of the airport. The biggest thing I learned is you really do have be careful which entrance and exit to use riding the metro. It is a thin line between getting on the correct metro line or getting lost trying to get out of the station😅🤣 Enjoying this adventure! So nostalgic
I can well understand that in spite you are a true night owl it is hard to spend almost a sleepless night at the airport, but you did it quite well, showing us different atmosphere of the domestic and international terminals during the night. The most important fact is that Haneda airport is a safe place even during the night. There is enough place to take a nap and there is no problem to get a food. Your goal to film the sunrise from the obsrvation deck was top o the tops. The whole night adventure has been a great success, something new, very informative and interesting, as well. I only hope that you could have slept well after returning home, for you have deserved a healthy sleep after your new night adventure at Haneda. Stay safe and in good shape for next endevours! GAOOO..
That was a beautiful view of the sunrise and airplanes. I plan to stay in the First Cabin capsule when I arrive in the evening on my next trip. It seemed easier than taking the train and looking for my hotel. It's also convenient since I can pick up my JRPass, reload my Icoca and eat dinner before bed. Thanks for the idea, but now I may see if I can catch the sunrise in the morning, depending what time it rises 😂
I love Japan and always wanted to visit it. Now I am trying to book a trip. Sorry to hear about a bunch of tourists bad behaviors that are disturbing the locals now.
Haha. Rion has to resist the temptation of soda and curry. The convenience store in Japan is no longer operating 24-7 nowadays? Probably you can show the visitors where they can get shower to freshen up after early arrival or midnight arrival at Haneda airport? Besides the capsule hotel or onsen where there are shower facilities.
Great updates on Haneda airport and showing us the different atmosphere. Always enjoy your airport adventure :) I have tried staying over at Manila airport after an early arrival before connecting flight to Bacolod for a mission trip. Like yourself, I had a hard time sleeping at the airport and it does get uncomfortable. Thank you for doing this out of your comfort zone ;) Let's keep walking and venturing !
Ah yes, I can't wait to see Tokyo at night; I saw 3 spots in a couple of videos that I want to see: 1. The intersection in front of Zojo-ji where you can see the temple, Tokyo Tower and Azabudai Hills 2. The footbridge near the Sompo building, where you have a great view of the train tracks and Shinjuku 3. an Alley near Shinbashi station, where you have this amazing Retro-Synthwave-Cyberpunk view if you stand at one end and look at the restaurant with the big red lanterns under the tracks The first two are also great during the day, but the Shinbashi alley is really at its best at night😄
Such a cool adventure-as you check off your bucket list, I’m adding to mine! 😆👍 Really fun & helpful, especially as I see future flights scheduled to arrive late at night, so I’m definitely considering staying at the Haneda hotel (with the spa as a reward for enduring a painfully long flight 😂) And thanks to jet lag, it’ll be easy to catch the sunrise 😎✨ Let’s keep flying! ✈️
My flight arrived after the last train and had to sleep at the terminal. The area outside observation deck is the most crowded and noisiest, followed by common areas at terminal 3. The benches outside Lawson on the ground floor and the arrivals area right above it are your best bet to get some sleep.
It’s so nice to see Haneda Airport for the first time through your vlog. When I arrive there someday and see familiar areas, I will definitely remember you! Also thank you for the new word today Rion, ‘Jihanki’. I thought vending machines in Japan are just called ‘Vendo’ 😂
Just an update from this months later. I arrived 1am and missed the late night bus to Yokohama so I had to stay in the Airport as well until the first train arrived! My go to place that time to take a nap was at Tully's Coffee at the arrival area. I was able to stay there until the person beside me took off his shoe and put his legs up on the chair next to me. lmao Ended up moving on the long couch on the observation deck floor which has been my favorite spot in Haneda every time I visit.
based on experience, it is difficult to sleep in open public spaces but then again, that is just me. I would rather pay a little extra to get a more decent sleep or rest before a flight. cheers to your being spontaneous, Rion-san!
Fascinating video. Haneda Terminal 3 looks like a reasonably good place if you have to overnight in an airport. Compares very favorably to the US airports I've gotten stuck in due to flight delays. In many US airports, it's hard to find late night food or a place to stretch out to sleep horizontally.
I'm planning to catch some sleep or probably short rest before my 6AM flight to Sapporo in this airport. Thank you so much for this very informative video
I was just in Haneda last week, I have to say I liked Narita so much better! Anyway I like your videos Rion, doing a good job! Hope you travel to other countries and vlog your adventures too! Also, haha @ "There is a sick noodle inside", I'm not trying to make fun of the pronunciation I know it's difficult to pronounce TH sounds but be careful it does change the meaning! i made a mistake and didnt watch your entire video before exploring Haneda Airport today. I would have loved to see the vending machine pizza at the Gourmet 24 vending machine restaurant. Something to explore next time i return to Japan.
Rion, this video is very helpful for me as it will be my first early connecting flight. Thank you very much. I think I will also do the sunrise watching.
0:16 Tokyo Station is so beautiful at night😍👍! 3:27 Beautiful night scene😍! 6:12 cool Ultraman 🤨! 7:09 aiya! closed, never mind, maybe next time 😉👍! 14:44 The ramen of vending machine is not bad, and the chasu is very huge 😋! 20:07 Happy New Year 😂🥳! 22:50 wow! so beautiful! 26:19 Wow! this is the best time to take pictures when there is no one around 😁📸🌻! 32:19 🥱~kanpai~🍺😁! 32:51 Good night, Rion 😪😴! 34:004:10 am everything was shot successfully, it’s so beautiful and worth it😊🤝👏😍🥳. It’s time to go home and sleep😪💤! Thank you so much Rion, let's keep walking and take us around Haneda airport, are there any restaurants that are open or not open in the early morning, fortunately, there are vending machines and a lot of meccha oishii foods 😋! Thank you for your hard work, Rion😓🤝!
I really appreciate you talking on camera and explaining everything. Most city walkers have either subtitles and explain everything that way or they don't explain anything at all and are just walking around
Good info Rion. We will be arriving in Haneda at 1130 pm in March. I've been checking with hotels and they cannot guarantee late check in. With a 4 year old, was trying to see what can be done. Thanks!
Thank you. It inspires me to stay overnight and explore Haneda Airport! I heard that only those who have booked a flight can stay overnight, is it true or are they referring to inside the terminalo only? thanks!
a nice midnight tour of airport . It is an interesting new theme for the videos.
The things you do for TH-cam. Thank you for doing what you do! 😂👍🏻
When we arrived around 5am in terminal 3 it took long time to get through immigration ( over an hour ) also more time to get luggage as well.

Looks like a nice, safe airport. I'd enjoy visiting Tullys, and Lawson after midnight at Haneda Airport. Thanks for the video!
Perfect timing - I am flying to Haneda tomorrow!
It is difficult to sleep at the airport over midnight. The sunrise is beautiful. Looking forward to your next adventure.
I always enjoy your Haneda airport travel adventures. The sunset over the airport was beautiful. Arigatougozaimasu, Rion, for brightening my day with your video! 👍✈
kudos to you Rion, suffering for our sake! Thanks for letter us know how the airport looks after hours!
Fantastic video, Rion at the Airport Station.
I love haneda. I got 2 hello kitty passmo cards, watch airplane ✈️ arriving and departing. Also used free shuttle for stamp rally. Cheers
Greetings from Guam! Thank you Thank you Thank you! Very helpful for travelers!

That was a great sunrise timelapse and made me very nostalgic about my visit from 2 years ago. Have a lovely day, Rion!
I love your videos really.. Hope to see a video like this in Narita too about where to stay or sleep there,,
Oh! What an amazing way of seeing the world! Thanks for this new experience!
Wow! Thanks for sharing the atmosphere midnight. What a beautiful sunrise. Glad that you manage to check it off in your checklist.

Thank you for staying up all night for us, Rion! That was a great video! I really enjoyed seeing how different Tokyo is at night.

That was a big effort. We learnt so much from your videos on a recent Japan trip. I often said to my wife on the trip "let's keep walking" :)
This is so cool because If we ever fly in way early into Haneda we know what to do and where to sleeep! Thanks Rion!!

The airport that is the best to fly into
because of how close it is to central Tokyo.
It's even closer to Yokohama
Thank You Rion for this video! ❤
Too bad you didn’t do this video last week. My wife and daughters stayed overnight in Haneda last week. 😊

HI RION. I JUST SUSCRIBE ,HELLO FROM NEWYORK CITY. ❤LOVE YOUR VIDEOS. YOU SHOULD BE A TOUR GUIDE AT THIS POINT. YOU HAVE ALOT OF KNOWLEDGE 🤗🤗
Wonderful, but very big and complicated
Go to the onsen at the Villa Fontaine and get yourself a massage before the flight.
In December, I have a early flight at 9:40am, not decided whether to sleep at the airport, or travel from okachimachi, staying at a manga cafe.
The new Teamlab is quite dark and has many hidden rooms. I almost got lost in there
Rion has that Dora the Explorer energy whenever he says "Mecha Oishi"
vending machine noodles doo desu ka?
Thank you. It inspires me to stay overnight and explore Haneda Airport! I heard that only those who have booked a flight can stay overnight, is it true or are they referring to inside the terminalo only? thanks!

Rion are u going to visit out of the country???
Hi Rion, we’re here in Tokyo now, we hope to see you around.
😆🦁👍
Hi Rion like the video
Do the vending machines in the airport take the new japanese currency?
