    I quit my conventional job almost 3 years ago now for purely economical reasons. But I've learned so much, and made an incredible mindset change. I would never go back.

    Thanks for telling us the truth about this occupation. I quit my job as a medical practitioner last 3 years after 10 years in the field. It was not a easy decision. But in life we all know one thing and that it is too short to dread going to work everyday. Friends I’m not asking you to resign your job, no amount of money can buy happiness you just got to be wise.😊
    I found your channel, you’re awesome.

      That's amazing Lucy! I'm 100% with you! What are you doing now?

    I cant believe how little views you have on such an amazing video and the content in there is super helpful. I tried searching for these videos and your video never came up until recently the algo recommended it to me. Sad to see you havent made videos in a while, I hope you pick this back up. I am 38 and making 200k and really want to quit but leaving too much money on the table and also really scared to take the leap of faith. I hope I have the courage you did to eventually quit.

      Just recorded a new one I fact. I appreciate your comment. It kinda burrowed in my head and now I can’t get it out. What would you want to do instead?

      @@jaydwilliams Looking forward to the new video! I know what I want to do but I have failed at it so many times before because I went half ass in that it makes me afraid if I can ever succeed in it. I don't believe I can actually do it anymore so i don't even bother getting started. There is so much pain around past failures that it just freezes me up. So I continue to just eke out a life that I am miserable in because it's better than failing massively and having nothing to show for it. I like that you are genuine and authentic in your videos and also you are a bit older so you have a very balanced perspective. Some of the other TH-camrs are too young and don't have the bredth of experience or go deep where you are someone I can genuinely listen to and things resonate. Appreciate you putting these videos out, I have a few on my watch list that I will need to catch up on and I also just subscribed to your mailing list!

      Thanks man. One thing I learned is that if you don’t quit, you’ll never fail. It took me 4 years to lose 100lbs, and I tried and started over multiple times along the way. I’ve also had many times in my business where I had to start over, but it’s stilll going, and I’m still going, so I haven’t failed

    How Are You So Good At Believing In Yourself?

    Sounds like BlackRock is super toxic! What did you do there out of interest?

    • @jaydwilliams
      @jaydwilliams  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I was a software developer, then a manager of developers. I wouldn’t call it toxic, it just wasn’t for me. It was perfect for corporate climber types.

      @@jaydwilliams Then I wonder what attracted you to it on the first place because saying you don't want to be like the people there is quite a statement. I genuinely find it intriguing. "Corporate climber types" is quite a generalisation. Do you consider yourself a "quit day job, climb the TH-cam subscriber count type"?

      It was a different company when I started, more like a big start up, and it was exciting to be a part of a growing business. Blackrock bought my company while I worked there and it changed. I quit to run my own business more than 10 years ago. TH-cam is me just sharing the lessons from that business and life
