- That Vegan Teacher took it too far on TikTok and over 200 people have called and reported her.
Kadie Karen Diekmeyer, also known as That Vegan Teacher, has taken TikTok by storm after going viral for her protest against McDonald’s in June 2020.
The former nurse and teacher from Quebec, Canada has become known for her TikToks and TH-cam videos where she preaches veganism.
Her main TikTok account boasts a following of 1.7M followers with her most popular videos receiving millions of views.
Her TH-cam has almost 24,000 subscribers.
Miss Kadie joined TikTok after the platform was recommended to her by a friend who wanted her to share her message-encouraging as many people as possible to become vegan.
However, people believe she isn’t going about it in an appropriate way.

This woman makes me sick. I participated in multiple protests for George Floyd, and I’m Jewish. Hearing this woman criticize George so she can promote veganism and using the holocaust, in which my ancestors were brutally murdered, is disgustingly horrible. She has no right to even own a pet too. “Protect the animals!” And yet she still makes her poor dog suffer. She has no right to be near any form of social media. I would say more if it wouldn’t get me reported.

@@bunbohue9235 the Passover meal at the time was usually lamb (some roasted kosher animal is part of it), so Jesus would have most likely eaten meat of some kind for at least a couple holidays, if not on a regular basis. Lamb, poultry, and fish were common biblical time meat sources. There are many biblical passages that talk about eat, cooking, serving and being thankful for the meat that animals provide

I do feel that being vegan is a belief, I believe that animals are not here for us to mistreat in any way. It is more than a diet, it is the way I try to live my life.
This woman however is unhelpful for the vegan movement, this type of person is the reason I rarely mention my veganism. It is my business, if people ask I explain my rationale. If they do not ask, I do not talk about it. Each person has to make their own choice. My partner eats meat. Do I like it, no, is it his choice, yes, do I berate him over his choices, no. He will happily go to vegan places to eat when we go out, small changes lead to bigger changes.

You might think you’re kidding, but it’s actually true! I was considering becoming vegan, I need to make some serious life choices, and she turned me completely off of it. I don’t wanna be part of that, I’ll stick with my off again, on again vegetarianism. And it’s not just her, there’s unfortunately a lot of vegans who get super annoying and preachy about having to do exactly as they do, I can’t take it.
I want to be a vegan, but there’s so much of a social stigma against being one, and I feel like people like her only make it worse.

The stigma is against the type that can never be quiet about it and make it their whole personality, like the crossfit people, I do it for the last 2 years but will rarely talk about it, while 2 guys from my usual timer try everything and anything to bring people to it and degrade people for not liking it. So its not about being/doing something, its about how you handle yourself while doing it.

It is very harmful for vegans, but, I hope enough people realize most vegans are nothing like her or other problematic people. I know people, myself included, who don't judge vegans by her actions, and understand that, as a group, they're just people who literally made a different life choice than we did, and are good people, at the end of the day. I don't support painting a large group of people, on the minority that cause issues, unless that minority begins to become the majority. For vegans, that hasn't happened, and most disown her completely.
