Unlike polymer clay, Air dry clay doesn't need to be baked. It dries naturally though it may take more time to harden than polymer clay does . Air dry clay needs to be kept moistured during shaping which is not convenient comparing to polymer clay. Air dry clay can be stretched very thin without breaking which is a convenient feature for certain purposes such as making leaves and petals.
