I've found that stiffening the suspension on the Roadcutter helps keep the car from being so bouncy. Because the stock suspension is so soft, it helps to stiffen it in a way it won't bounce as much on landings from jumps.
That was my thought too.
When I used to play wreckfest, I always found stiff suspension was faster across the board.
When that Panther RS came in 2nd last. The SS crew chief came out with his Luger and said "For you, Ze racing ist over".
Then a gunshot was heard in the paddock.

Th Roadcutter acted like the great randomizer on tracks with jumps 😅
The Road Cutter is glitched. If you use medium or soft suspension, the front wheels will steer outward on their own when the suspension becomes loaded. Use stiff suspension or a different car.

Yeah some cars are better at handling jumps than others. The small, short wheelbase cars handle them no problem, long wheelbase muscle cars, cars naturally closer to the ground, they tend to struggle a bit.
"...tend to struggle a bit" is putting it mildly! At times it looked like the Roadcutter was bouncing sideways on landing!

That figure of 8 circuit race was the best of the lot. You always know there is going to be chaos on the crossover, and the FR crew never disappoint in this! Some good racing from Alex, particularly in that last race with the damage he took and the steer-happy car he had. 😂

Hey Alex you mentioned last video for this Wreckfest tournament and at the beginning of this video that the Roadcutter is bad at jumps and I can tell you as a Wreckfest veteran that that's absolutely right, it kinda just sucks over jumps but it gets much worse in normal and softer suspension setting. The best suspension settings for the Roadcutter on any track are 4-5 , counting settings left to right, 4 is in between normal and stiff, 5 is full stiff. For the Roadcutter I use 4 for tracks with jumps and 5 for flat tracks. You should try to hit jumps dead straight in the Roadcutter when possible, weird things happen if you're steering or hit jumps crooked in the Roadcutter since that car particularly hates landing sideways. It's probably my least favorite car for tracks with sketchy/big jumps, it's not so bad over smooth and low jumps.
As mentioned in the previous video my go to car is the Starbeast. Handles jumps well and turning is good. Doesn't have the top end speed of cars in similar class but it's a solid car and worth looking at in a future vid :)

AT 9:10 it was like a Cranewreck, hard to look away.
Liam should've turned Alex when he had an angle on the Roadcutter's right rear in that one corner
I love the road cutter as a car but the car cannot afford to get air time at all. The suspension I think is what killed it and made it roll. Only real way to save it is low centre of mass and big suspension does not help. U just have to slam it down. Also am I able to join ur races on wreckfest? They look a lot of fun.
Edit. That only works on big jumps
It basically needs all wheels on the ground at all times. That's why it was a pain on the loop In deathloop and why hellrides walls were difficult.
I wonder if all the weight added was just too much for the suspension
I imagine I’d get better if I played more, but I always found it awkward to preserve momentum going into corners. I’d either not slow down enough and barrel into the scenery, or I’d play it safe with the braking and lose all speed as I turned the corner. Taking a tight line would cause me to almost stop on the apex, and then a wider line would leave me too vulnerable for an AI behind me to cut back on the inside, seemingly not having the problems I had.
Laddo seemed so unlucky, was quick in a few races

You definitely want to avoid the Turdcutter.
I try and avoid the American cars on wreckfest because of the bounciness, not just a roadcutter problem

it would be awesome if you guys could extend these points races out longer doing more races that would involve points, possibly over multiple games.
The difficulty with that is organising a time where all participants are avaliable.

I know this is 9 months late but the bouncing issues you were encountering were probably due to the suspension being to soft

Alex keeps praising his car but it has been very mid the whole time, except for the second race in this video.
When a podium finish is on the line, the other guys are really good in Wreckfest at subtly coming out on top of any collision involving you...just sayin.
Having spent the whole of the last tournament winging about the jumps, why choose the same car again 😂
