The song Blackbird was very intentional. Paul Mc Carthy released the song in the late 60s as a nod to the Civil Rights movement, more specifically Black women who were the real backbone of the movement. But for them the movement would have been an epic failure. Having the Black women walk with her displayed Black women empowerment as is what the song Blackbird is about . Also although there were 5 women they signified the 6 Black girls of the Little Rock Nine who integrated the Arkansas public schools. Very powerful stuff.

For more context, when she enters on the horse, you notice everything is white (Heaven), which gives her performance an ethereal quality. The ladies with veils over their faces represent the Eyo Festival(a celebration of life and death) This performance (in my opinion) is about America and its negative behaviors dying out. Too much Red in the White and Blue. Also, Cowboy Carter will die, and his essence will come back, but a little unhinged.

I saw the performance late last night. So cool to see the album's features get to perform with her. Some said the Blackbird girls appearance felt like when Destiny's Child perform. Little Blue performing 🥲💕❤. Amazing performances and ending as usually 🎉 can't wait for next month's announcement

    4:06- 4:10😂 "Oh, Oh, oh..."😂
Genuine reaction. I didn't know them either but really enjoyed that part as vocals.
Love your reaction! YOU had fun with it as did... 😂
    6:43-6:48 right!
See, check this. I've updated this comment for the 3rd time as I watch pause and go along at 6:57 and probably will do this again as I further into this video but you are my type of people, especially how you hear, see, feel the artistry... I wasn't expecting this from her at all, I stumbled on this video later X-mas night but when I viewed it for the first time, your excitement reminds me of mine... She definitely gives us (Artist/Vocalist/Performers) a "wow" factor but also a place to grow, rehearse/decipher and vibe out as creatives. ***fyi...I only comment on videos that spark worthy praise and yours is one of'em. Truly enjoyed it.❤😂💪🏾
Fyi, this my first time seeing you too and I enjoyed it...very much...!
I wish you were close to Arcadia Fl, teaching lessons or with some type of vocal/creatives performance class, I would definitely be in the building.
And yeah, the majority of us didn't or still dont know who was in the car before the "Ho Ho Ho" sign. Eventually we will if we dont know already...😂
Every reaction I've watched pretty much said or thought the same thing.😂
