Very informative, thanks for posting! I appreciate you taking the time to read the kiosk at Diamond Point and acknowledging every detail highlighted there. I have driven past that parking lot on my way to Miller Peninsula State Park many times and look forward to trying that section. Been wanting to check out the new Audobon Center and railroad bridge.

Back in the mid 90s you could take Jefferson Transit for $1.75... The guy from Rainforest Hostel, had a cool 78 Subaru, helped set that up. I camped off Old Gardener Road a few times- right by those pioneer stones. Lake Ozzette is great- the guy who built the campground there was super cool- we actually shared the same birthday.
What a fun ride- thanks for sharing!

Good stories! Thanks for watching! Jefferson Transit is still free to ride after the pandemic 😷

I too live in Port Angeles and I really have been enjoying your videos especially the Elwha River ones, (the Elwha Valley is very near and dear to my heart). Just wondering if you have done any exploring in the Hood Canal area. It is another place I dearly love and camp there several times in the summer. Dosewallips state Park in Brinnon has some fabulous trails. There is a 3 mile loop trail there in the woods above the campground I think you would really like and would make for a good video.
    Happy Trails!

Thanks for the advice about Dosewallips. I haven’t hiked the state park trails yet. Have been up the Duckabush on the main trail and to Murhut Falls. Also Lena Lake up the Hamma Hamma Road. Thanks for watching!

I remember when the rails were in. Used to go right through the State Park. Which I took pictures. :(

I camped overnight there many years ago but don’t recall the rails or any trains passing through.
