Deathstalker V YES!! - thank you so much for doing this video!!! I'm excited you're excited haha :DD Just being mentioned alongside Scarlet Heroes makes me proud, got my fingers crossed you'll get ToA to the table sometime. And a big shout out to Dungeon Dumbo too - cheers brother!
@@pickpocketpressrpgvideos6655 Looks like you have quite a few fans, I don't blame them! Impressive work all the way around, from the actual products to the support you seem to be famous for. We need more games being produced by actual gamers, it shows you fit the bill.
I'm loving my copy...it's my bedside reading at the moment! Steve got it right with this, it's excellent. Thanks for the shoutout, just want this to do well, it's terrific.
I can't wait to see how this game grows over time. It is the perfect tool box for gaming and has so much to offer in one book. I read that Pickpocket Press is going to try and put out a starter box set. I feel that will be amazing and help this game grow in the gaming community.
@@solitaryrpg Bro, you are gonna go wild at some of the stuff I have seen hinted at! We might just have to form a little game for this over on the discord!

Sweet! thanks for covering this one bud my copy should be coming any day this week now :-) Have the PDFs but always find bigger PDFs to be a task I dont know why but I love it from what I have looked over many times now :-) I have one of the side adventures printed off from DrveThuRPG with the second one on the way with other books for shadowdark and Adventures, Dark and Deep :-) two days after I played that order the third adventure was released for POD ha so will be a while. But the fact pickpocket are sending out POD at print cost for backers of the KS is also just brilliant! I went all in on it.
@@RandomEncounterShow Yeah big time he also gets back to you very fast, I didnt get all the PDF stuff just the core rules sent a message on KS and within 12 hours or less got back to me with the rest of the PDFs.
ToA sure looks amazing! I got the playtest pdf when it came out but my old tablet couldn't get from page to page so I've only had the briefest glimpses 😅 Or pains me that I had to skip the KS on this one! I'm looking into getting the dice, cards and the book when available. I've done only a bit of solo but I just this week started a dungeon crawl with Scarlet Heroes, first time utilizing that system. I get that it's a bit funky using the damage conversion table on top of the usual OSR stuff, but it works. And it makes it real handy utilizing published OSR or OG adventures. Other than this my go to is Dolmenwood (setting and rpg) coming out of its own KS after a long wait. Been using that material for years now though, from pre-published material. Now that's a super cool OSR as well! Enough rambling 😆 Thanks for the fun and enthusiastic flip-through!
@RandomEncounterShow Looking forward to hanging out around here! Checking out the list of your videos. Funny thing, at first it sounded to me your accent (or dialect) is Scandinavian (I'm A Finn). So I appreciated you mentioning you're from Alabama. Fascinating! 😁
@@RandomEncounterShow Cheers! Karhu is the good stuff 🍻 Especially stepping out of the sauna for a moment, steam roiling around you in the freezing air. 😅
I took a hard look at this a few months ago and I liked what I learned a lot. The only reason I didn't buy was that I just don't support games that are PDF only. Unless it's that very rare ( suspiciously rare ) case of PDF Only but a printer friendly PDF option. Guys it's time to reevaluate.
Hey Bro, I’ve been watching your excellent content for a while and found you on the DragonQuest review. I appreciated the love you showed that game. I also like your approach to RPG, no glitz or glam just good solid, feet on the ground authenticity. I appreciate you. However I’ve turned the corner when I saw your PowerSlave cassette !!! How can I best support your channel and projects ?
I just missed the KS of this and trying to get hold of an offset print copy of it - hoping the guys printed more than needed - as don't want POD for this baby. Their previous RPG, LFG, was pretty damn good - this one looks even better.
Apparently this was the deal of the day on DTRPG a couple weeks ago for 50% off. Hadn't heard of it. Ah well. Will try to keep an eye out to see if it goes on sale again at some point
Wow. Thinking about Tales of Argosa after I finish the Imagine Solo Adventure. Also thinking hard about your variant rule for no resolution and continuous combat. It is percolating the old noggin. Collaboration is key for me and I am seriously taking on your idea of no resolution upkeep. There are some things I have to solve. Like when your last engaged opponent falls you get the option of a new initiative so you are not always on the back foot. Still thinking on it. Thanks for your thoughts.
Oh me too. Just couldn't do it at the time. I think Steve replied to me in one of his PickpocketPress YT videos that The cards will be available from one company and the dice from another. The book as pod from Drivethrurpg. So it's definitely going to be there but a bit of a hassle. This will make the next fomo even worse 😅
Quality and content caught me by surprise. I'm definitely looking into this.
