- In this trip I got everything just about right . From getting the kayak and gears on the beach . I got the right clothing under the drysuit , I had to keep nice and warm just to be able to fish . Fishing preparation was good as well . Fishing started well , the tide was pushing nice and the fish were bitting . I decided to up my game a bit and use the heavier tackle , big lure from rabala , 30lb braid , 12 lb fluorocarbon , all good stuff . I hook the fish , he took me down straight to the kelp and I was in control . All I had to do next was grab the monster and he beat me nicely . Quite disappointing missing the one but realistically the adventure turned really good far out to sea . winter fishing can be awesome well prepared . Stay tuned for more .

What a crazy adventure mate!! I’ve had a few that have got away, always heartbreaking. Well done for getting out there in freezing conditions, tough effort 👏👏 I was cold just watching. And great that we got a look at the monster fish, so that’s great!

Unlucky Nico happens to everyone I have lost some nice pike. Nice pollock need to get one myself by pb pollock is absolutely tiny.
I played well on the day , all my tackle was good too , just a bit of bad luck right at the end . not to worry Jacob
Looks like a good sesh, I was all down that coast and potentially that exact spot the day before. You did better than me! My only highlight was an absolute beast of a mackerel and a couple of dolphins
Kayak fishing can be precise and silent too . I cannot go too far (3 miles range) apart from that it's good fishing , another 2 good months .
Unlucky mate, Do you think it was a double Nico ? in my opinion it was mighty close, but we'll never know and that's what will bring you back for more. 😊
In the 10lb range , twice I hooked this in the past and defo getting closer to my hand . I played the heavy rod in control to the very last second . Cannot complain , just a short drive :)

I make sure no one can see where I am fishing , I put loads of fish back but I also know some people wants to kill everything . I would love to make beautiful video but I also know there is idiots out there trying to kill everything . I will protect those fish best I can . And that is why I also go alone .
