It’s interesting you say this, in my opinion, this is exactly why you *should* respect someone. When they can change their view, grow and evolve that shows character and maturity. Being able to make fun of something by making jokes about it and becoming the joke shows next level comedy by showing humility and exposing ironies like the one you’re commenting on is peak humor.
