FNB Lesotho Africa Day Flea Market l MOAFRIKA FM Outside Broadcast l Minister of Trade l Mokholoane

MOAFRIKA RADIO TELEVISION - MRTV interviewed Minister of Trade and Industry, Mokhethi Shelile, at the FNB Lesotho Africa Day Flea Market, held on May 25, 2024, at Tšifalimali Hlotse, Leribe.
Through this initiative FNB Lesotho in partnership with BEDCO, aims to support Small, Micro and Medium Enterprises by giving them exposure to potential buyers and investors alike. Over 40 stalls got an opportunity to showcase their products and services to a diverse audience, that they otherwise would not have met if it was not for the flea market.
Speaking to MRTV, Minister Shelile highlighted the challenges faced by SMMEs which included lack of access to capital, business scaling and shortage of administrative skills. He shared some of the initiatives that the government of Lesotho through his ministry has in place, while conceding that more still needs to be done to elevate these key economic players.
