Like you, I first eat, clean out all the food that I can, then I just make a cup of tea, slosh the tea around while drinking it, and I end up with a 'clean' cup.
Nice and easy, pretty much how I do it too. I've been using one of the cut down green scrubbier for a long time now. Oh I tried thee " Gorilla Glue" meal again last weekend while out on the trail. It was awesome! ......Take care, Bluefin.
Great tip Rob. This is my most hated camp chore. I tried bringing a scrub pad and I could never get it to dry where it didn't smell musty or get moldy. How do you go about keeping it some what clean and not getting nasty? Im more worried that I'll get sick from using that after a few days than just not cleaning my pot. Ha.
On trips shorter than 4-5 days I just let it sit out after I use it until I put my cook kit away (after hot coco). On trips longer, I have placed it in my wash (I have footage to edit for this video). When I get home my cook kit and water filtration all get a good cleaning including diluted down clorox. With the amount of boiling water the pot gets I don't worry about germs much.
I'm the same, I'm usually not worried about the pot once I cook. But man does that sponge get nasty for me. I might try the smaller skotch pad like you are using next time. That seems like it would dry quicker.
Good tip my friend. That is the easiest way to do it, and it works for me most of the time. If needed I will use sand and leaves to scrub it good. I do always have a little bit of bio soap to use but most of the time i don't need it.
Just subscribed and enjoy your vids, good stuff, very explanatory and not a lot of need to to ask questions. With one exception - who's playin' that bad ass Jazz at the end.??
+OldePete I have never been much of a fan of freezer bag cooking. Cleaning my pot just isn't a big deal. The only meal I eat out of a bag is my granola and blueberries for breakfast.
I don't wanna drink that delicious soup. There's gotta be a better way.
We have really enjoyed your videos. Very well done. Hope you are well and look forward to seeing more.

It is always an inconvenient struggle to clean it after the Ramen soup. super oily and greasy. Cheers for the tip.

how do you clean that tiny sponge after?
What kind of shovel do you use?
Like the size of that pot and it has a spout, what kind is it?
Is it safe to leave this in your tent overnight after you clean it out or do you store it with your food?
Store with your food unless you want to get mugged by pigs, speaking from personal experience haha
@@crabcake1420 Or mice will eat hole in your tent and gear to get to it also

Shrug.
we used mud or sand with water ...and then rinse
Does this mean you've pretty much given up on freezer bag cooking and just cook in the pot?
