Jackson Motor Speedway 602 Heat Race 04/13/24

Plain and simple…we had a bad night. Hot laps we went 2nd fastest. That’s great but it counts for nothing. Qualified 5th so started 2nd row inside on the Heat race.
That’s when things started to go down hill. Got into another car and the wall. Then on the last lap or so I had water spraying me in the face. Got back to the trailer and found that I blew a gasket on the water pump. KB Motorsports and Zack Owens had a set of gaskets in the trailer so we went to work swapping them.
Go into the feature after getting it all back together and started 7th. After a couple restarts we finally got going and sparks were coming from the dash so not knowing if it was fire or what, I jumped the berm and killed the car to make sure it wasn’t on fire.
That ended the night for us and found that a wire had come loose and was arcing in the dash. Loaded up with disappointment but that’s all part of it. We’ve got a lot of work to do on the car to be ready for our next race April 27th.
We are going to take the coming up weekend off to rest and get ready. We appreciate all the support and definitely all the people that helped in the pits last night. Congrats to ZO Zack Owens on the win.
