Wow, this doctor is fantastic. I went to a neurologist amongst others and told him my sports physio said he thought I had TOS. I have been complaining about scapula, chest , neck pain for the past almost 6 years. All he did recently was squeeze my fingers, checked for muscular weakness etc etc.. when this first started almost 6 years ago it wasn’t as bad. I kept asking(neuro) to also check my scapula. My issues are only left sided. I had even circled w/a black magic marker the areas I was talking about. He basically was useless. Dr Newkirk is 100% correct, doctors only see through the lenses of their specialty which is really bad for the suffering patient. Hoping this doctor still is practicing b/c I seriously am thinking of scheduling an appt.

I wish all my doctors would watch this. I’ve been living in pain while these docs go back and forth whether I have it or not. 2 years now.

I don’t have this but I do have thoracic nerve damage from an emergent chest tube for Tamponade. That was back on 7-11-19. You won’t believe how many specialists I’ve been to find out what my problem.
I have read and read and read stuff on the internet to try to find an answer myself.
Low and behold, last month I FINALLY found what my problem is! I am not a nurse nor a doctor.
I had been to Mayo in Florida in 2021 but I think the person that I was assigned to was having some kind of personal issues. She just left her position and they didn’t know if or when she was coming back. I think my case just fell through the cracks.😢
After I found what I’m 99.99% sure is my problem I reached back out to the doctor at Mayo with my information. They immediately called me and I have a video visit tomorrow.
50% of people that have a chest tube have thoracic nerve damage. Of that 50%, 30% have long lasting nerve damage.
So think about that. It’s the MOST COMMON problem associated with chest tubes. It truly boggles my mind that I’ve seen all these specialists (cardiologists, neurologists, and spine specialists) and not ONE of them recognized my problem.
I had a Watchman Device put in my heart that day and the doctor unknowingly cut the exterior of my heart and sent me on to recovery. Someone finally noticed I had gone into cardiac shock (dead).
I just can’t understand how so many of these SPECIALISTS did not recognize what my problem is.
I hope the Mayo doctor can find a solution for me. The procedure has literally ruined my life.

I have been dealing with this for almost 2 years! Took a fall onto my right scapula August 2021with all of my body weight due to loss of use of my legs caused from extremely low blood pressure. Had a huge black hematoma on my scapula for 6 months. The injury turned into a frozen shoulder and that's what I was told by my doc (orthopedic) from MRI findings. Now that has subsided mostly and am dealing with this tos that was diagnosed by my PT! Treatment only works sometimes. Now I know I need to find a doctor like you in Tucson Arizona! Wish me luck!

I was wondering why I’ve been experiencing intermittent numbness and tingling in my feet and toes. I have bilateral neurogenic TOS.

Would somebody please tell this guy to use an Ethernet cable when making real-time communication? His signal keeps breaking up.
