Tesla's fast charging network is huge and very reliable in the US. If Tesla creates a similar network in India then vehicle range won't be an issue anymore

Tata and mahindra should not fear from tesla. Both companies are in different league tesla is in Premium segment while M&M and Tata is in entry level and mid level segment. Further Tesla is needed to crack the Monopoly from Big 3 of car companies.

They wont launch a car in 12-15 lakhs range. Model 3 even with tax benefits would cost more than 60 lakhs atleast. Even a smaller hatchback that Tesla is developing would cost around 40 lakhs. Tesla is not a mass market car maker.

The problem with EV is that battery does not perform well in high temp climate. We will have a lot of issues in summer time with battery and range. There is no charging network in India either.

market and factory setting are two different things , it's not the case that big market will have big factories , bcz production and transportation cost is the main thing . for example US and Europe are huge consumer of Electronic items but China has been the world's factory for decades.

I'm always supportive of the indian brands and i personally own a xuv but the only thing i donot find appropriate is that the indian companies always middle when the government try to reduce import duty.Being a car enthusiast i also want to own a mustang or bmw's but due to high import duty the performance cars are very expensive and this hurts not only my but many other car enthusiast hearts.The indian companies should try to compete with international brands rather then convincing the government to impose high import duty
