This guy produced Rodriguez's first album and 7" single. Also the guy who popularised the wah wah and fuzz tone. He was a member of Motown's funk brothers. Anytime you hear fuzzed out guitar tones on a Motown record it's coffee

Hair and Thangs is right up there with The Hot Dogs, Juicy Lucy and Socraties Drank the Conium in names that say "We're serious about going nowhere"
Given that two of the tracks are from the musical "Hair", and four tracks have the word "Thang" in them, it makes sense to me. Then again, I seldom judge an album by its title. If I did I would have missed a ton of great music.

I love this era and the music but I really can't stand overdubbed guitar. I wish they wouldn't do that. It sounds like someone noodling over a backing track in their bedroom and not "real music".
