For our Conference on Spiritual Battle of Our Time, Fr. Casey gives the second talk titled "The Devil: Liar and Murderer" covering the subject of the Devil and how he likes to spread the idea that he does not exist. Even some theologians do not believe in the Devil. Father explains what the Church teaches about the Devil, his pride, disobedience, and his preferred tactics of lying and tempting to lead us away from God. Modern times are dominated by the Devil and it is important to know his tactics, to know our enemy. He focuses on priests and bishops, "Strike the shepherd, scatter the sheep." how occult and Demonic practice are increasing and how the Devil uses the tactic of divide and conquer.

Father Bill Casey, I have just listen on the TV your spiritual talk on "The Devil: Liar & murderer" Since the announcement of Coronavirus was announced and we were advised that we can omit mass this week, I sat down to say my rosary instead with TV as sometimes I watch & pray together. Instead I heard you speak of Satan. I held my rosary in my hand waiting to hear you Finish. I was so Impressed with your sincere speech, that after it ended I said my rosary and anxiously went to my computer to find you so that I can forward your spiritual Combat#2 to my family & friends. As a demonologist, and ordained minister in the Catholic Church, I often preach about the devil and his tactics, oppression, infestations in homes and object by demons, and full possession. There are many opportunities to preach on such topics, because the Gospels and the epistles read during the mass talk much of such things.

I just learned this Priest's name. I had his video saved in a folder named Fr. Booming Voice. Yes indeed, God has gifted him with a strong voice that enhances the Truth he speaks. I am glad he does not mince any words--and that's what we NEED to hear! God bless him and protect him in holiness. We need him to stay a Catholic Priest and a holy one at that. (Prayers still for Fr. Corapi, that he return to the Catholic Church).

I need to add and I feel Our Lord say with in me ,we need Hard Line Sermons like this to Bring Souls to their Senses. In my Country in Ireland that used to be the Land of Saints and Scholars ,the new generation and Government have opted for abortion to Ireland that very evening the Yes to Abortion was brought into to Ireland there was thunder for hours later ,I wonder why ?Satan is very active but so is God I want to strive for God now more and more in these very testing days .
He is absolutely right,we are at war! Our bishop finally prevailed upon our priest to retire. I said the rosary daily and he told me it is necessary sometimes to put your spiritual life on the back burner. I talked to him about things happening in my house, and he said he doesn't believe in things he can't see!!! Thank God we have a new priest. We have adoration of the sacrament. We have the rosary after mass. You can't fight an enemy you don't believe in, many liberal priests think it's fiction

Thank you for this great topic Father. We need to hear this more often. We in the Netherlands hear never about the devil in Church. It is passief here that everybody goes to heaven. Nonsense. We are in a war. We need to fight and choose. It is all about working daily on your character, read and meditate on holy Scripture, learn your faith. Learn the tactics and weapons of the enemy and live your faith. This is reality. Amen.

We are in a Spiritual battle that rivals all that has been throughout the centuries. I CAN JUST FEEL IT AND KNOW THAT THE BATTLE IS THERE, DAILY, FOR NOT ONLY MY SOUL BUT OTHERS. We have to be aware of this and do whatever we can to fight it. The Powers and Principalities of this world (Satan and the devils) are like lions - devouring daily and they do not want to lose. They are fighting for all SOULS and it takes all of our Spiritual Weapons to fight these powers. I think that Most of us, cannot do it alone. I know, I can't, I am too weak, but with Christ, in Christ and through Christ I can be stronger and need other Christians to strengthen me; along with my angel(s) and saints, for some have more than one; and any other good source(s) available that will help us. These lectures, give me strength along with Holy Communion, Adoration, the confessional and my spiritual books, relics and other paraphernalia, necessary to fight this battle.It is tiring and difficult but we cannot GIVE IN. please, please, PRAY FOR ME AS I PRAY FOR YOU, FATHER CASEY, AND ANYONE ELSE FIGHTING THIS BATTLE. GOD LOVES US AND THUS THIS BATTLE IS WORTH THE FIGHT. May God be with all.

He says Christ is still our best defense. Actually He is our only defense. The devil is stronger, smarter, more intelligent and more powerful than we are, and we underestimate him greatly. He is completely beyond our ability. But he is NOT beyond Christ's ability.

Purpose of life = God created us to see who is worthy to live with him in heaven. Free Will = God loves us so much that we have the choice to choose heaven. No one who gets to heaven will not want to be there. Is There a Hell? = Oh Yes. And if you don't choose God Now, well you will see hell. Remember, No One can change their minds after death. What you choose in life, that will be your final decision.

If someone truly reprents, God will forgive. Eye witnesses said Sam Kinison, as he was dying, was arguing with someone no one else could see or hear. First, he was saying he was not ready to go and wanted more time. THen he accepted his death, and died with a look in inner peace on his face. Who knows? Maybe he repented as he was dying and maybe a sign that he was forgiven is that he was buried on Good Friday. We do not know. We were not there.

If you believe in G-d , you must believe in the devil. He was created by The One True G-d. He is part and parcel of His creation, from Adam and Eve to this every day.
Yes he was created by G-D but not as the devil but as Lucifer the Archangel. Lucifer became what we call the devil when he tried to take over G-D's throne and G-D kicked him and his followers 1/3 of the angels out of heaven.
My understanding was lucifer refused to obey gods will that angels should minister to mankind. He saw man as lower than angles and therefore not worthy of his ministry. And this rebellion was eternal since there is no time outside the constraints of spacetime. Without obedience to Gods complete will an angel becomes demonic. And there is no place in highest heaven for demonic entities. Having lost obedience to highest heaven angels lose all grace eternally and thus created their own version of virtue which is vice. And despite losing access to highest heaven still have access to lower realms of dimensional universe and thus infect all mankind with their vice and influence in order to bring everything down to their level of disobedience to Gods will. An eternal battle that will end only when spacetime is destroyed by God leaving only heaven and hell. Heaven being the highest heaven where their is no error and hell where all disobedience is eternally destroyed.

Disagree with the commentary on the allies. It was England and France who declared war on Germany, not the other way around. You said Germany attacked, but it was only re-annexing its historical pre-WWI territories (Danzig, Pomerania) unjustly given to Poland by the League of Nations after the first war when Germany lost. One of Churchill's quotes several years before the war was "We will bring the War to Hitler whether he likes it or not".
