I'm a old woman. When I was 16 our house burned down every one was gone but my Dad he battled the fire by himself. We lost everything. But a neighbor drove by saw my Dad on the roof and got him down just before the roof caved in. Things can be replaced. Family can't be. God bless you all.

Glad to see y’all being positive and loving God, family and your farm. Adler always makes my day, love to see the brain activity going on behind those beautiful blue eyes. You can see his wheels turning and that keen brain just firing full throttle!! So refreshing to see a farm family that instills their good moral ethics into their children and still give them a healthy dose of self confidence.
Chad it's okay to show your emotions. Just know that you have so many people standing up all around you supporting you and your absolutely amazing family! I know it seems that things are in slow motion right now. But once your home is placed on the foundation and you and your beautiful family move in there will be a great relief come over you and your family. My thoughts and prayers have been with you and your family since the release of your video saying that the house caught fire and your family was all safe. 🙏💞 It's okay to take a deep breath and take some time with your family to heal. You and Rea are an inspiration to others that are struggling right now. We're currently trying to get packed to move to our country property and everytime we think we can schedule the moving day another delay happens. The latest disappointment for us was I kept smelling something weird in our country house. I went to change the filter on the heating and air and I saw rodent droppings. I vacuumed the best I could after spraying them with bleach. Then as I pulled each vent cover off I saw more rodent droppings. 🙄 Now we have had to hire a company to come in and clean all our ducts out and inspect every inch of them to see that there's no live rodents. 🤦 So now we're not moving into our house until December sometime. I can only hope that the weather cooperates so we don't have to move while it's cold and snowing! 🤷🤦 But for the health and safety of my family I know it's best to fork out the $825 to have the ducts cleaned and disinfected with special chemicals to render the bacteria from the ducts safe for our family to occupy the house! I'm telling you that just the other night I swear I saw a 3-4lb rat crawling across our driveway.😳 I haven't seen any inside our house or any droppings. I have blocked any wholes that they could possibly get in. I do however feel sorry for the person that has to crawl into the crawl space to check all of the ducts because I know for a fact that there's spiders and possibly snakes under there! 😮 Anyhow just know that we're all keeping you in our thoughts and prayers every night! 🙏 Much Love from our family to your family 💞
Post trauma stress isn't a disorder. It's a natural response to an extraordinarily stressful situation. Not a disorder. Not an illness. They need to stop treating it like there's something wrong with you for suffering from it. Don't feel bad for feeling what you're feeling. You're feeling grief from a loss as well. They stuck it in the DSM as an illness. Makes me sick - grief is not an illness either. I hope and pray you can get through this with a minimum of PTS - and if there is a product responsible, I hope they can be held accountable. God grant His peace and provide his care for you and your family.

I have a friend that purchased a Clayton home. Beautiful home with no issues. They gave him the option of making modifications on his floor plan such as a patio door instead of a single door on the back. They corrected any little issues on the final walk through check list. Hreat experience for him.

I know you don't believe it all the time, but you might want to make a birthing pen for Oreo and Butters just to protect them on such a big open acreage. It might also help prevent accidental separation like what happened with Spruce and his siblings. Goats and cows are soon much different
Most goat moms don't just run off like Spruce's mama. I have a feeling Oreo is gonna be a good mama.

@@LindaPoorman It can be a worry, but now that Chad put that board over the shelter to keep Tipsey out, that could be a place they see as safe for having their babies. I believe he is also setting up the enclosed trailer for them to use as well. In my experience they typically look for a safe space to have their babies. Plus I think Chad said Oreo has had babies before, whereas he thinks the other mom was a 1st timer. I'm not against him setting up an area either, but they have a lot going on right now. It would be a good idea to eventually have a birthing area for any of the animals that have babies.

The Hewitt is beautiful. My husband was a firefighter for 50 years, 16yrs. of that he was Chief. I have seen so many heartbreaks through the years. When I saw what had happened to y’all it broke my heart. I am so impressed with the love and dedication your family has. God bless to you and the whole Doss family. I have watched y’all for years and have grown to love everyone’s dedication to each other. Be at peace and know God has this.

I to lost a home to fire and I had 3 little boys, 5,3,and 6months and if but for the grace of God we are all alive. Keep doing what your doing, I promise you are already coming out of this stronger. One more thing mine was many years ago but I still cry at times, like watching your story. Remember tears are Gods gift to keep your brain clean ♥️🌹
“The Hewitt” model is great! Mudroom, open concept, everyone gets their own room, or the boys share, while Grandma can have her own room and bath. If house is in the same spot as the cabin, primary bed and back porch has a pond view. Again, great selection! ❤

I can't imagine what you are going through but I love that Chad you don't try to hide your feelings and act tough because it's not good to bottle up your feelings. Rae I know this is so hard with you suffering from Depression already so don't either of you be afraid to talk to a Therapist if needed. You are definitely suffering from PTSD from what you went through. I am finally going next week after losing both my Parents last year I thought I could handle the grief but I'm not doing well. Tomorrow will be a year since Mom passed 😢 Love Your whole family because Y'all are so down to earth ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Jesus is in the driver seat. Prayers for y’all that you get I to your new home quickly. Having a MH placed on your land is so fun and yours is going to be huge! So happy that things are moving along. Our MH was ordered in Sept of 2016 and we moved in July the following year. We are up in snow country so that made a difference.

I'm no good at making profound statements, so I won't even try. Just know I'm a little old lady in Texas who cares. I do have one little piece of input on the home that Rae was shown touring in this video. As lovely as it is (and it is), I noted those little catty-cornered closets in the smaller bedrooms. I have those now and I've got to be honest. Those are the most inconvenient things ever invented....especially if they are going to house the belongings of small boys. IF that is the home you are considering, please see if those closets can be modified to be more accessible and useable. They are a space saving idea that must have looked good on paper, but I'm telling you...they are a pain in the backside to live with. Of course, you could probably do a better job of making them work than I have. Like I said...I'm an old lady... Hugs from Texas.

I like the one with the study because you can put a work desk in there or study space for the kids, then close the door when you are into family time "non-working" mode. Both look good, though.
Not crazy about either kitchen but i think i like number one.

I have asthema and must have a hypoallergenic dog. I have rescued purebred standard poodles, 4 of them, over the years. Great dogs.

I’ve had two poodles they were the best pets no shedding no dander. My last poodle was so special to me I’m 75 a widower my husband passed from Alzheimer’s disease I took her in the nursing home to see my husband she was a favorite there. Always in a new dress prancing around. I had to take her around to see the people there. I miss her so.
I’m onto my 3rd toy poodle. Love this breed. ❤ they are very good dogs but don’t like to be left alone.
Just a point in defense of cats...most people are NOT allergic to Cat Dander (dander being shed skin cells)...however, the majority of people that "Think" its the cat dander are actually allergic to cat SPIT...that's right, its the dried cat spit. Cats groom (lick) themselves a lot and its the dried spit that flakes off to which most people react.

none of my business, but a little advice..don't go with Clayton if you want something to last. say you have to replace a door, they are different sizes than what you will buy at Lowes. get plastered walls...not vinyl covered. simple things can make a big difference,. Faucets, grade of carpet..Clayton is lower end of the grade of mod homes..just my input as i live in one...check Palm Harbor or Horton for quality

Chad, I understand that you are worried for your family and their reactions from the fire, but you know you weren't responsible, you know that everyone is physically alright and that all the "things" can be replaced. You also know that a family that is built on the foundation of trust in God and built on the amount of love you all have for each other is going to be okay psychologically as well. God will be there to handle all the "what ifs" and he and your mom are obviously seeing you through the "what ares" (you didn't get ripped off by the crooked dealer). So, cry if you need to, talk about your emotions and let it out. We, your viewers, will be there to support you and your family through this for as long as it takes because we honestly love you

Having your animals spayed and neutered if your not going to breed them is the best possible thing to do. As far as allergies go I'm allergic to dogs and some other things as well and got allergy shots for 5 1/2 years so I could keep my dogs. Having allergies is no excuse when you can do something about it. Just saying. blessings to y'all

If you’re going with the Clayton, please ask how much it costs to have heat and air conditioning ducts in ceiling rather than floor. With your boys, indoor/ outdoor pets and family and friends visiting, toys and games in house, you’d be better off with them not on floor. Just a suggestion.
