DIY Ponytail Haircut | EASY Short Shaggy Bob Tutorial

- The DIY ponytail haircut is hit or miss, in a pinch, it can work. Here's my easy short shaggy bob tutorial, cutting my hair from a pony tail. You can see it came out really stacked, Brad Mondo's tip is to pull the ponytail a bit lower so you don't cut at such a drastic angle as I did, which required a lot of trimming afterwards! All in all, it was quick and fun and grew out nicely!

After researching on TH-cam I cut my own hair last week… I think that’s how your video popped up. This was so fun to watch! You’ve inspired me to go shorter next time… I love your attitude about hair, I think I’ll try a choppy bob next!

I CUT MY HAIR SAME WAY YOU DO. I WAS 16 YEARS OLD ASK MY PARENTS FOR A HAIRCUT. THEY SAID NO MY MOM TOLD ME YOU FIGURE IT OUT. CAME OUT GREAT. I AM 64 YEARS OLD NOW BEEN CUTTING MY HAIR LIKE THAT FOR YEARS . ALWAYS COMES OUT GREAT. MY MOM BEST FRIEND WAS A HAIR STYLIST. I WATCHED HER CUT HAIR FOR YEARS. THINK THAT'S WHY I CUT MY OWN HAIR. BY WATCHING HER ALL THOSE YEARS. SHE WAS MY MOM'S AND DADS BEST FRIEND SHE WAS MY BEST FRIEND TOO. I ALWAYS LOOKED UP TO HER SHE WAS A GREAT FRIEND AND LIKE A SECOND MOM TO ME.

I do the cut this way all the time and it turns out great. I love it. I do also add in a lot of layering though. I'm not a professional. Use really good scissors and always cut below the rubberband and not above it.
I did that a few weeks ago to get rid of the ratty ends. I usually do it short but I can't hold my arms up for long now. I used to use 3 mirrors and put my hair in curlers start at the top and work my way down to the length I wanted. Then I would check it for any odd long ones and 'feather it all over. Came out great. I only visited a hairdresser for tidy up snips. (my ex wouldn't give me much money to live on so a haircut was out of the question. )
I keep my hair styled in a short BOB very similar to how yr hair turned out after u cut it. I would be way too afraid to it on my own tho cause it’s super fine & sometimes professional salon stylists have a hard time making it look exactly the way I want it.

Little tip tho! What helps with ponytail cuts ...use hair clipper....buzz it off is faster and cleaner cuts! This was awesome tho!

I have cut my own hair just around the bottom from the bottom of ear around to other ear.. I'm try your method one of these days. I am 77 yrs. old. and don't have transportation to have it done
I don't know where you're located, but I have found a hairdresser who will come to my home. (I'm disabled). There are hairdressers who will do this. I was looking on Nextdoor (just randomly looking at things) and saw another hair dresser offering to go to people's homes. You could also call a salon and ask if someone there would be willing to do that for you. I found my person through word of mouth. It's a service she's offered for many years.

it's just hair ;) but there's a difference between being brave and being stupid LOL!! figure out what style you want to try and watch some tutorials to give yourself the best chance of a good outcome!

How Cool! I cut my hair & others from time to time. It works my mom is a retired hairdresser, So I've learned basics but I think hair tutorials are interesting & fun. Your hair looks thick mine is wavy thick. I'm surprised it cut it so well. Cute cut,good job.❤Suggestion buy some new scissors though.🙂

Thats how I cut my hair but keep in mind your pony tail has to be close to your skin downward that's way you get the under pieces

a few days before Christmas I cut off butt length hair to a brush cut with my boyfriends beard trimmer ... and I love it

Siempre me lo corto yo, pero estoy varios días arreglando las imperfecciones, hasta que quede como me gusta. A veces es difícil, pero prefiero arreglar mi corte, que el de la peluquería.

Let me know how it turns out! Mondo's biggest tip was I should have pulled the pony tail a but lower so it wasn't angled as drastically. Just a heads up 😜
