Forgot about paying for a home and making sure everyone has running water, tempered air, spending money, transportation, light to see in the dark etc. Paying the bills and balancing the funds is no light burden. Let's tally up and see who comes out on top shall we, but this isn't a competition it is called a FAMILY and a team effort.
You forgot at least couple more important things. If your husband is doing even most of that your duty is also to take care of your husband in every way HE sees right and your duty is to submit yourself under his leadership and that includes if he says "no more questions at this time" you will say "yes sir, I didn't mean to make you upset my love". There's absolutely no way you can get more out of your husband and your life by living this way.

@banyakakal4299 not really. Where I live (rural CT) you need to make about 50% more than the national average to be able to afford a place to live. That is also way more than the average CT salary. Now, before saying that we need to be more ambitious, keep in mind that many of the NECESSARY skilled jobs in society do not pay that minimum, or enough to actually support a family, and you find that the single worker household no longer works because it won't support the needed workforce to keep things going. Feminism is the cause of this.

Errrr…as an OLDER, Non Religions, Independent Trad-Wife I have soooo much to say about this! The Trad-Wife movement is a response to the “Girl Boss”, miss independent, and “Women can do it all” mentality that has been prevalent the past 20 years. Women realized that they can’t do it all, they are lonely without a partner, and are burnt out trying to be a girl boss. It’s finding joy and balance in a system of family that has worked for thousands of years. We could literally do a whole other video about this.

I recall an episode of “Friends” where a pretty young woman was the Friends’ school mate a while back. She was with a not nice wealthy older man. The Friends wanted to liberate her from him. Toward the end, they said she could be free to have and do what she wanted. She told them she wanted to live a rich lifestyle, great car, clothes, travel and meet great people. She HAS that with the guy. She is living her dreams. The Friends thought they wanted everything she HAS, but THEY had to go to work and they, with all their freedom were probably not going to get it.

Human Resources has only been a thing in recent decades to placate women’s concerns over being emotional in the workplace and being allowed to vent aaaaallllll their frustrations! I have a friend who worked in HR for a bank for years she said 95%+ complaints were from women not being appreciated for their efforts or getting nominated for an employee of the month etc! The way my grandmother talked about my grandfather was nothing like a person who considered herself forced into domestic slavery. It's difficult to see how Western women could be any more privileged.
Trad woman where not stuck at home, they would go to the store, tend the garden, walk the dog, help the other wifes in her neighborhood. Cooking and cleaning where the only thing done in the home, the rest was outside. The men usually fixed things up and mowed the lawn when they got back from work. If there where kids BOTH parents took care of them equally throughout the day, Saturday was the fun/event day, Sunday was the day of God (going to church), and the week day kids where in school, while the men was at work.
Also the men did cook on weekends (usually BBQ), but most of the time the woman already had food pre-made.

A difference between now and then is that now you have a choice and then you didn't.
The possibility now to have a life and not have to work is a luxury not many can afford.
When you are competing on prices for houses e.g. you are competing with those who both work and all being equal have more money to spend which puts you in a lesser position.
